Yes, check the adapter type and if inserted completely and also you might need to adjust levels --- Master Volume. There is probably a difference in efficiencies of the phones and buds.

It was the adapter. Tried a different one and it was all good. Glad I'm not the only one who has problems with those things.

You're right, The earbuds sound like garbage, no bass. Back to the proper headphones.
Or better still the 12-3 cab!

Wasn’t necessarily thinking GB, but maybe an Orange or an Ampeg. Can’t imagine anything actually sounding bad through those cabs. Thanks for the link.

Had some more fun with the Magellan yesterday!

So I finally hooked up both the MG12V-T and the BA10-2... in my basement mind you. Played them a little together, then each one with my P with flats and my Roscoe 5 with Rounds.

I don’t feel like that work well together. Don’t think they were designed to. The MG sounds more “loose” than the BA. The BA while not quite as loud or low, seems to play well with my 5 with rounds and B string. The P with flats seemed to work better with the MG. Hate to say “old school” but they seemed to go together to my ears.

Of course either bass sounds good with either cab. I just think they “pair up” like this. I’m guessing if I had another BA10-2 so there was comparable low end and volume, that would be my modern/tight amp and the 12 would be my more old school amp.

Not sure which I’ll take to gigs when they start up again.

I’ve thought about that. I’m not convinced 15 would be as “grab and go” as the 12 or 10. The YouTube videos sound fantastic.
And there’s no local market for my other cabs and shipping is ridiculous. I think there’s a Genzler dealer about an hour away. Might get something g for trade I guess. I don’t want/need 3 cabs around that’s for sure.

Absolutely. I used my single 15 at a loud rock venue that had FOH support so it was mostly for stage monitoring. It was great. I could hear it perfectly and to me it was more rounded than the single 12 I had before. YMMV but I think it makes for a great single cab solution, especially with a fairly lively bass.

My issue is I have a passive 4 string P that I use a lot, and active 5’s that I also use a lot, often on the same gig. Hence my dilemma. The other paper of the equation...I only use a rig for maybe 6-10 gigs a year. I want it to sound great, but have to balance expense vs. income from those gigs. They are usually gigs that pay like $50-$100 a shot. It’d take 2 years to recover the cost of say a B15-3.
