Just heard from my bands Agent. All shows in June and July are now cancelled. I wonder if I get any shows in this year????

I’m waiting on some new gear to help with demo videos. I’m hoping this week or next on that. I’ll be stepping up the Genzler cab demos then!!

Our next scheduled gig is a private party on the lake July 3rd. I'm guessing they'll have the party, but I'm not sure if we will be playing. Lots will have to change then. The lack of gigs is definitely helping GAS. The potential of not using a new rig for months is a good antacid.

My band's calendar has cancelled gigs through June. However, Idaho is letting bars reopen just before July 4 weekend, and we have a gig that weekend at the Moose in downtown Coeur d'Alene. Of course, no one is banking on it.

We got cancelled all the way out to Canada day- July 1st but it’s unlikely we will see anything till the fall at least...

my preamp/DI at church Sunday, the Mic/Line should be set to...

my DI for recording at home, the Mic/Line should be set to...

From what I have experienced with my MG800, mic is a lot hotter signal than line. So I would say line for both.

It depends upon what you’re plugged into. If a normal XLR mic input, I would set it to mic. If a line input, then I would use line. My guess is that means mic at church and maybe either at home, depending on your interface. OTOH, if one is too hot for your input, switch to the one with less signal.

Every FOH engineer I have worked with required mic level and pre eq.
This works for home recording as well. As such, I just leave it on mic level.

I can see pre for FOH if I were using an amp, but as this is silent stage I think it’d be ok to use the preamp. I’m thinking of using my head instead of buying something else that would basically do the same thing.

Hi all,
Newbie here, I’m looking at the Genzler combos 1*12 or the 1*10 but can’t decide yet.

A little background, I mainly play Warwicks (Thumb BO, Streamer SII and a corvette $$)
currently thru a tech21 VT Bass 200 with extension cab, but I miss some high-end sparkle.
Generally my sound is very growly for fingerstyle, but the tech 21 really lacks for slapping imho.

From the reviews I’ve seen both 350 combos would fit great, is there much of a difference in the low end (10” vs 12” driver) and treble considering the bass array has those drivers instead of a tweeter?

Unless the dirt channel is part of your sound - key thing is dial in your stage sound first then let the sound guy work with it . After that you’re locked in to only using master volume.

I use the mic level/pre EQ setting for sending my signal. Works great.

I should have my first gig next Saturday evening.....might even do a Thursday night gig but not sure on that one yet. Everyone hang in there and keep rockin’ those Genzler rigs!!

The good news is that my band managed to get our album tracking done just before lockdowns started happening in earnest, and it's being mixed right now. I can't wait to share it with you all!

What kind of music do you typically play? Depending on that, you might get different recommendations. And short of that, I would say that the word that defines Genzler gear is "smooth." Don't get me wrong, the cabs and amps absolutely punch and extend like crazy...they blew away my Markbass stuff that I had previously. And now with a single 15 and 210 I have reached the promised land. But they are so transparent (overused in gear IMHO) and flexible, I can't imagine a style or scenario they wouldn't work.

I'm less certain about a single 10 or 12 combo thought with the 350 head without overdrive. Again, depends so much on your music application. Demo if you can or at least buy with good exchange privileges.

And last but not least, customer service is second to none that I have encountered in this business. You can't really go wrong.
