Hello, all. First time poster but long time reader here. Just want to share my experiences:

I play with the BA410-3 on a stand powered by a Forte HP in my funk/pop band. VERY NICE RIG. I was wonderfully overwhelmed by the sound "spread" or dispersion. During the first song while performing, the lead vocalist in front of me turned around and said "OMG! That sounds awesome! What rig is that?" From that experience, I snagged a BA210-3 then later bought the MG350/BA10-2 combo for coffee shop gigs.

For grins, at home, I tried the combo on top of the 210 (both are 8 ohm cabs) which sounds great but the 10-2 will be the limiting "low end" factor. Not to say there isn't enough low end for my needs with is combination, it's more than enough.

I tried the BA210 (on top) and the BA410 on a gig with the MG800 and it didn't sound as good TO ME as the Forte HP/BA410. I have a gig this weekend and will continue to experiment.

@Basslehem Great information. Thank you for using our gear. One thought about your next gig, try the BA210-3 under the BA410-3 and see if that has a different tonal expression.
Also, is your BA210-3 cab a slant or straight?

I also bought a 350 head that I upgraded to an 800 fairly soon as I joined a loud alt rock band. The Genzler gear blew away my old rig but I found myself wanting a little more extension both on the top and bottom. Well, along came Jeff's 210 and 15-3 and, well, the rest was history. I too contemplated adding a third 12-3 but I'm glad I didn't. I also like the look of a neat stack (I know it's silly) but the slant and top and bottom extension of the 15 + 210 is exactly what I wanted (notice I didn't say needed).

I now have three different rigs that I can haul around covering everything I can imagine doing for a long time. The 410 would be a great addition if I ever get called up to the big leagues. But for now I only want it a little and I certainly do NOT need it.

I advise getting what you want. You'll never regret that.

Thanks for that! I think my idea rift now would be to add to my existing rig with a view to end up with a 210 + 115 with maybe an option to stick a 112 on top for special occasions.

For now I would either start with the 212 or 115 under my two 112s. Any thoughts about which would be better to accompany the 12s? Leaning towards putting the 210 SLT on the bottom for a bit more cut through.

I recently purchased a Genzler BA210-3 from a large online retailer as a "minor blemish". The original manufacturer's box as well as the handwritten description on the back of the cab says that it's a "BA210-3 STR". But the drivers are positioned side by side - not diagonally. The cab is definitely an STR, not a SLT. The really weird thing is that the badge on the grill at the bottom of the array says "Magellan" not Bass Array. Can anyone shed some light on this? Going to pair it with my GB Streamliner 900. Thanks a lot.

strange.
current models of the BA210-3 SLT drivers are side by side, BA210-3 STR are offset. who knows were the incorrect badge came from. There are Magellan speakers, with cloth fronts, it's not one of those, right?
Maybe it was a prototype, or maybe its fraudulent.
Or maybe there's a logical explanation.

That Magellan label is on the current Magellan line of cabs. I saw the BA210-3 SLT in NYC before it was released. It said Bass Array on them. The STR cabs had the offset 210’s and the SLT were side by side.

Yours is perhaps a prototype or early release before the final product design of the STR. And then the side by side design became the SLT.
