I do use it always on at unity gain and last in line, which is very clean in my case, and with a Keeley bassist at a very low level and also at unity. It just adds to that clean compressed tube feel and warmth. I haven’t been going for distortion with it. I can mess with it later when I’m back home and let you know, but I suspect you are correct about it messing with unity.

I always wanted to hear a Genz Benz rig but never got the chance. So sight unseen and with a few posts about this cab through TB, I pulled the trigger. I am impressed!!! 5/5 for me. I could say 4.75 to be fair because everything can always be improved upon.

Finally got around to playing with my pedals today just for a bit and, without going into too much detail, this 410 is nuckin futs ya'll lol. I seriously see the difference between efficient speakers and nonefficient speakers is night and another universe of day.

Not saying this cab would suit everyone's needs, though. But for me and my Fender Superbassman played with my G&L Tribute Kiloton, it's fantastic and sounds massive. I kept hearing the myth about sealed cabs and tube heads and listened to that for far too long. Now sealed does have a different tonality to them and I get that. But after getting my pedals dialed in a bit,(obviously will change tone-wise eventually depending on the context) this cab mixed with my Darkglass VMT and Harmonic Boost(always on) is seriously all I need. I dig Ampeg fridges when playing through them, but I can never see myself carrying them from gig to gig unless it's a mandatory backline. Since I mostly play smaller places or record anyway, this should suffice for quite sometime. 55 pounds for a cab that sounds like it's much bigger is a blessing.

Do you like the mesa head better and may I ask what is it about it that you like better vs the megellan head? I will say if I had to part with one or the other it would be the head wwwwwaaayyyyy before these cabs! I thjnk these cabs are best in the game, now I don’t know enough to know how much matching the genzler head to cab matters but I know these cabs are amazing! But so is the head with that contour button! But it’s funny you have the head that I almost took over the genzler.

I tend to have some high/high mids on my overall tone and these cabs deliver this with a authority. So, no surprise if you had 2 of these they would deliver all the bottom you want but with an articulate mid punch as well.

With the BA210-3 SLT you get all of that but with a little more mid presence. Plus, that quick response that 10’s deliver. The BA15-3 compliments this setup with its clear, smooth bottom end and makes for a full range mini stack that is an absolute joy to hear.

It is safe to say, no matter what cab you decide on, as long as it says Genzler on the top left corner, you are going to be satisfied!

Agreed on that! I actually thought a 10” slanted array would be best to add to a 15” use the 15” for the thump and 10 for the punch higher mid bass stuff ya know. But after talking to jeff himself, it makes more sense to spend a little more and get the 15 slanted array. You are right they aren’t like other 15s they are very articulate. At the shop I bought this from the owner had two 15 for the demo rig and I was able to play through it at not even close to bass shaking stuff and it sounded amazing still. It picks up all the quick movemtns and ghost notes. It keeps up its the best word and it’s so articulate and clear yet so full and punchy. It’s almost 3D sound coming from it. I know
I’m drooling over Genzler stuff but I think it’s truly that damn good! There is not guitar amp that I think is leaps and bounds ahead of competition like genzler is vs everyone else “except a few mesa models” this is only my humble opinion, but from the amps I’ve heard, the genzler cab and head are in a league of their own. It’ll be a long time before I add another cab but I def will somepoint!

Is that a keeley comp? I have the xotic comp which is great! But I think I want one with more dials and able to mess with the tone more. Also just a better sounding compression pedal. I love this xotic so much I prob wont even get rid of it, I’ll keep it for guitar rig. But im realizing how much a great compressor helps on bass.
