Only heavier. I don't know why Berg can't build a sub 25# 112. The Genzler 112T is 24 lbs with a tweeter.

Yeah, they are very Magellan-esque. Not bashing Bergantino at all. I know lots of guys that play Bergantino. It's nice stuff. It's actually the only other line I'd consider - and did - when buying an amp. I keep playing Jeff's stuff because I have for years and really like it. It sounds and looks great. It's durable, and it's less expensive and maybe more straight forward.

I gigged an SWR SM-400 for about 15 years until it started acting up and would cost more than it was worth to fix. It was at that point that I bought a Shuttle 6.0, which then led me to a Streamliner 900, which led me to a Shuttle Max 9.2 and then, finally, to the Genzler Magellan 800. Now I'm done. No need for anything else. Done. That's it.

Well, I got it shortly after it was released back in 2016 and I've had no GAS since. As they say "never say never" but I just don't know what else I would need? Certainly for my musical "career" at this point I won't need more power, the tone I get is great, it's extremely versatile and it's easy to use. Some amps have to many knobs, too many choices (the Shuttle Max 9.2 was one of those) but the Magellan is just kinda perfect.

What's wild is that I've had it almost 5 years and only 5 months ago did I really started digging into the drive channel as a go-to sound. Sure I've used it before on gigs and sitting here practicing but using my drive pedals I've always preferred their tones through the clean channel. Well, my pedalboard was out of commish so the drive came out and now I love it as yet another useful tonal option. Playing classic rock, blues or motown that old school tone is just right there and then I can go clean and pristine.

Definitely not bashing Bergs. I too think they are great stuff. Just commenting on how the looks are similar.

I still say the Bass Arrays are the most innovative bass cab on the market today!

Yes, the older MG-112T cab (NOT the MG-12T-V CAB) has been discontinued a while ago. That is the low and wide unit -- MG-112T.
