Had our second rehearsal tonight for the gig next Friday. My 350 Combo was making my passive jazz bass sound marvelous or was my passive jazz sounding marvelous through the 350 Combo?
Andy sounds good through the 800 & 410-3. I can’t wait until Friday’s gig. I’m going to wait until the gig to play through my 800 & 410-3 and let it surprise me and blow me off my feet, again!!

I love mine and so does everyone else who hears it. They are floored by the clarity and definition of the 15. Can’t decide if an additional cab should be another 15 or the 210. Either one round be good.
A fellow TB buddy and I did a side by side rig with a bass he had with 2 outputs. Again he was very impressed with my rig compared to his. His AGGIE cabs had no tweeters. Ok, if that’s what you want, but my rig was superior IMHO.
As a side note, the instrument used for this comparison had two outputs, the Dimarzio Relentless pup first went to GenzBenz Aggie rig with the lipsticks going the the Genzler BA15-3 cab and head, we switched the outputs back and forth between the two rigs. IMHO, THE BA15-3 always excelled at producing what the pups were capable of, their true characteristic tone. Here is the Red beast in the rig comparison.

Beautiful bass. And I like the rug in the testing lab. Surely enhanced the tone of both rigs.
Always like to see the Streamliner continuing to be a workhorse.
Digging the Streamliner love! I love the Magellan too, but there’s something about the Streamliner I find hard to give up. It might be my favorite amp ever.
I’d love to play a Streamliner through my Hathor 1203. I bet they’d be a great match. When I was playing the streamliner my cabs had an inherent scoop in them that gave me trouble along with the soft mids of the amp. The Hathor is mid forward and also can act as a sealed cab.
While I've had my Magellan 800 head for several years now, I splurged the past two months and picked up two 12T-V cabs one right after the other and will be swapping out my gig rig for this powerful and lightweight animal. I can't wait to actually get out and play a gig with this rig as it sounds fantastic at practice room volumes.
I also have to thank @Jeff Genzler for the social media shout out and for sending me the last cab cover in the entire world! (I don't know if that last claim is correct but I couldn't source one ANYWHERE until I reached out to him directly.) Also, I'm loving the new foot pedal as well. She's exactly how I like my women; sturdy and functional...

That is a formidable rig. I have the MG350/12T-V combo. It kills. A 2nd 12T-V - even with my MG350 would be formidable rig. Ditto. Had to sell my 12T when hard times hit, but it was capable of most gigs I played. Replaced it with a BF One10, which makes the MG350 sound better than ever.
Just for fun....any opinions on running the new Traynor 100 watt tube head through a 3-12 stack?
RE-Posted from the Amps & Cabs forum: I am thinking of getting a Genzler rig, Megallen 800 or 350 amp (not sure which yet), Bass array 10-2 and 12-3 cabs. I like the versatility of using a compact 1x10 rig, a 1x12 rig and the full rig for bigger gigs when they happen. I am hoping that I will get the punch of a 10” speaker and the depth of the 12” speaker. Has anyone got any experience of mixing a 1x10 and 1x12 cab together? Cheers SCB
I started with a MG800 and a BA12-3. Too much for what I needed. I only use an amp for jazz gigs, singer/songwriter type stuff, wineries, farmers market, etc. I sold it and got the MGF350/BA10-2 combo. Great rig. I was wishing for just a touch more volume/presence for outdoor gigs. I thought about another BA10-2 for a "mini stack" and that would have been awesome, but I wanted to stick with a single cab, one hand solution. I got the MG12T-V cab to replace my BA10-2. It is awesome. Almost easier to carry than the BA10-2. I know, but it's true. Both cabs sounded great. I like the 12. The line array is all the rage and they are awesome, but the good old MG sounds really great as well, and I like the adjustable tweeter. If I played more "amp" gigs, and needed more sound, I think I'd get another MG12T-V and stack them. That would be a killer rig.
As far as 350 vs 800, not sure what to say. I don't need the drive option as I don't use "effects" and while that can be set from mild to wild and now foot switchable, I feel I don't need it - or the power. I don't have to carry a room at this time. I have PA/FOH to do that if needed. The 350 is a surprisingly loud amp.
Whatever you decide, you'll love it.

I have the MG800 and love it. Started with a single BA12, added the BA12SLT and recently got the BA15. Lots of guys are using the single 10 to great reviews. If lightweight is your goal the little MG350 combo is great. For me the two 12 's together are massive in sound. I play on some pretty loud stages so that is why I added the 15.
I'll be the a hole and say the only way I ever got the punch of a 10 and the depth of of 12 was with my Barefaced One10. I've owned the Genzler 10-2 12T and 12 and can say the 12T is my favorite single can solution Genzler offers. It's a more versatile combo than the 10-2, but is more vintage sounding, but with a tweeter option (Anyone want to buy the MG350 cradle?)
If you want one cab, go 12V. I think the 102 and 123 would pair nicely, however, as they're probably designed to do that. I might be wrong.

Jeff may chime in. I never felt that the BA10-2 and BA12-3 were "meant" to stack. I agree that the 12T-V is a great cab. Maybe the best single cab option for now. The tone is maybe more "vintage" but still defined. My Roscoe B string is quite thunderous (it's only a single 12 at 175 watts so you can only expect so much, right) even at outdoor gigs. I wish I had more reason to use it. Maybe this summer...
When shops open again here in the UK I will have to try the options. I did try the 12-3 and the MG12T with the MG 350. I like the smooth top end of the bass array and it had a lot of depth, the 12T-V had more punch to the sound, more top end, but less depth, but this may have been where they were positioned in the shop. Unfortunately, I did not have much time to really compare the 2 options, so I am looking forward to trying them out again when possible.

I was hooked and joined the band permanently at the start of last year. I was ready to do my first bass gig just before lockdown. It never happened, aaaaagh. Consequently, I have my guitar rig sorted out after many years of loosing money, changing gear, I am now trying to avoid the same process and get the rig right first time. So, your comments and recommendations are really helpful to this relatively new bass player. SCB
