The 15-3 has more 41Hz, judging from objects in my house vibrating (which is actually a bit scientific compared to just ears), and clearer. Not too surprising but nice to confirm it. But mids/highs are where the biggest difference is. [Digression: Before buying the BA15-3, in my imagination - in the worst part - I imagined that the 3"s might sound like the kind of tweeter in a bass cab that I would always leave off, just a little nicer. But no, I find the 3"s blended perfectly with the 15". You wouldn't know that it isn't a single super driver.]

The 4x10 sounds "thick" in comparison, and it isn't good; from the lows to the highs this 4x10 is as though muffled. I know that thickening and even muffling can sometimes be part of an iconic tone, but I think very few people would prefer these 4x10s. I hadn't noticed this until I had something to compare it to. *Part* of this might be due to the acoustic coupling and comb filtering, etc, consequences of a multi-driver box. But I think it's probably more than that.

After reading so many reviews I was already primed to use the word "smooth". But, yeah, the BA15-3 is smooth and "musical" and transparent from bottom to top. This clarity is exactly what I took a chance and paid for, and I got it. Thanks.

I had been thinking that if it were too dark I would also get a 2x10. But no, it isn't dark at all.

Thank you for sharing your experience and review of the BA15-3 SLT. We sincerely appreciate you giving us a chance to meet your tonal needs. I had a feeling that even though your tonal range was more limited on the top end, that the Bass Array concept would bring a new insight into what is possible ---- beyond the traditional woofer/tweeter combinations.

I'm sure that it would be great. I've used just a single 15 on a loud rock gig and it was fine. But what I really like is the flexibility to have 3 different rigs vs. one and one but louder. It's why I swapped out my 2 BA12s for the 15 and 210.

I believe there is a club member here with 2 BA15-3s. I couldn’t influence him!!! :laugh:

Have you heard the BA15-3/BA410-3???? :cool:

When I first received my Genzler cabinets I A/B them and my Greenboy cabinets I had. I tried various combinations in my garage. The OH, LORD THE EARTH IS SHAKING moment was when I paired the BA410-3 with the BA12-3 and cranked the MG800 up!! Way too much power!!!
I can't imagine the need for a BA410-/BA15-3 stack other than for the pure fun of it. :thumbsup:

So I have a BA10-2 and an MG12T-V and I'm still on fence which one I want to keep. I read a post from @SteveC describing how good the 12T is, and I'm convinced to go in that direction. Then I read a post like @revroy writes, and I'm all in with the BA series. @jibass suggested I have two of each...that would solve my dilemma! Anyway, no big deal, it's a great problem to have and I'm enjoying the sound I'm getting out of either cab.

Me, too!
I had what I thought was my new MG 350 breaking up when I was first trying to experiment with it and the two BA10-2s. Jeff called me on a Saturday and discussed the issue then sent me another MG350 to try out. Turns out I was WAY louder than I thought and simply ran out of clean headroom on the amp’s power section.
Later on I gigged the 350 with a single BA10-2 in a small to medium bar and was shocked to discover just how little volume setting I needed to mix in with the band and totally fill the room.
I felt stupid for even raising the initial “issue” with Jeff, who was so incredibly patient, generous and kind in dealing with the “little fish” that I am.

Have to jump in here as well. Genzler customer service IMHO is an industry benchmark. Was on the fence about which cab to get, BA12 or BA15. After reading many comments, and talking directly to Jeff, I decided on the 15 and could not be more satisfied. Jeff is accessible and responds quickly. That kind of service is priceless. Thanks again, Jeff.
