Well, whenever the little Shuttle 3.0-10T combo came out is when I started I think. I think that was the first amp I used. I was blown away by the sound based on the size. Or did the Neo-Pak come before the Shuttle? Or the GBE600? Maybe Jeff can clue us in on the timeline.

If I was super drunk I could probably be convinced to get a contour B tattoo... but I still have a few years to go before I'm worthy.

Side note, been playing with a small Fender rumble combo with my pedal rig and while it's great for what it is it makes me long for the full bodied character of the MG. Going to be playing it a lot today now that I've got the IR last in the chain over headphones, I've never been happier with my recorded tone.

I'm pretty sure the Shuttle line came after both the Neo-Pak and the GBE series, but I would also love to see a timeline of Genz Benz/Genzler releases.

Thorny question for the group to mull...do you count as a decader if you a) had only Genzler gear for 10 years or more b) owned Genzler gear before trying and then dumping another manufacturer c) own Genzler gear for a decade but...maybe...kept something else "just for practice"?? Discuss

Hmmmm...interesting dilemma you bring forth. With the prevalence of G.A.S., I think it's doubtful that very many folks used *only* Genz Benz and/or Genzler gear for 10 years or more. I fall in the category of always having Genz Benz/Genzler gear but various practice amps and a couple of other-brand speaker cabinets made their brief appearance. I'll be interested to hear others takes on this.

Gotta be A. I've had only Genz Benz/Genzler gear for as long as I can remember.
Now, my "just for practice" is a Focusrite interface and GarageBand. And my DI/IEM/Silent Stage rig is a REDDI, but those items don't count as using the combo amp isn't really an option.

Although, I have given the idea of just using my MG350 as my preamp/DI for those gigs as well. Just not as "floor friendly" as the REDDI, and I have a particular set up (using a synth) and a cable snake that is made for a pedal board/floor DI like I have now.

That’s a great idea.. all this talk made me go back through my pics on Facebook found one from a old gig playing the Bodega in Wellington back in 2010 (fixed the timeline lol) is there being as reliable as ever.. gonna miss that little guy.. also I feel old lol

I'm only a hobbyist, but I qualify for the 1/2 decade club... 7 years.

I inherited the love for Genz/Genzler gear from Ed Friedland when I took classes with him. Ed was (and likely still is) also a Genz/Genzler devotee.

Just this weekend I made my brother join the club... I gave him my Shuttle Max 9.2 and uber quad, and he was quite happily impressed with it. He'll be using it at church. I still have a Shuttle Max 12, a streamliner, recently got a Magellan 800+BA12-3, and have also Gollihur-version acoustic pro... I'm quite a fan of Genz/Genzler, and also quite impressed+thankful of Jeff's and AgedHorse's helpfulness and service.

I'm in for the Decade Club. Started with the Shuttle 6.0, to the Streamliner, to the Shuttle Max 9.2 and now am sitting absolutely satisfied with the Magellan 800.

I'm in the decade club too. started with a Shuttle 3.0 head used with an Acme B2 or the Genz Benz 8T, then a Shuttle 9.0, then sold the Acme and got one of the first BA12-3, swapped out the Shuttle for the MG800, then a 350 combo, sold the 350 head but the 800 & cabs are going nowhere
