Genzler Amplification Club

Yea, the heft of the previous rig was nuts and the amp was in a 16 rolling rack. Everything was heavy to lift but at least it all rolled. I am bit older with no roadies so very happy to see big/clean sound in a much smaller footprint.

Dumb question - what do you mean by A/B them? Contour? Thanks...
Comparing them side-by-side (A then B). I thought I had a good setup before the Magellan and BA cabs and didn't appreciate the quality of the Genzler gear until I literally set both rigs up next to one another and tried them one after the other. You might have already done that.

A few weeks ago I bought a Lakland short scale hollow body that I strung up with flats and it’s really allowed me to play around with Magellan 800 settings.

Using the A/B contour and the clean/drive channels has helped me get more usable tones from the bass - it’s great.

My #1 bass for the last 6 years(?) has been a Valenti p/j with sadowsky pre and the bass is very aggressive, yet also versatile. The Lakland has a thick old school tone which has led me to change up my settings leaving me, once again, blown at how easy it is to dial in great usable tones.

Usually I leave the contour control at about 9 o’clock whether the button is in or out but with this new bass I will set it around 8 in the blue position and bump it up to 10/11 when in the amber setting.
I bought this amp soon after they came out and am still a completely satisfied, strike that, extremely happy customer.
Thank you, Jeff.

Good to hear because sold the other rig a couple of years ago. Thanks!

Ok, received the Magellan yesterday and tried out with just headphones tonight. Cabinets come tomorrow and Tuesday. Holy Smokes does this bring my Alembic alive. Could not stop playing Wont Get Fooled Again. Every note every where is perfect tone. Can't wait to hear through the cabs. Fretless is going to be cool. Thank you @Jeff Genzler - more to come...

Newly minted Genzler owner here but long time fan of Jeff's work. My Genz Benz Streamliner was the last head to go after I quit playing out and the one I've missed most. Until today.....

Ive watched so many videos by now that unboxing the 350 was like greeting an old friend and lets just say it has surpassed every expectation. Anything further feels like it would be preaching to the choir....

Can I get a number?

Side note... the BA shirts are slick!

Cabs just arrived and initial thought - why did I wait so long? I know I have plenty of tweaks and turns to dial in my tone for each bass but right out of the box - this rig is legit! I can't wait to master it...

Pardon the mess- I could not wait :bassist:

Tonight is day 1 of 7 sold out nights at the Home Office Coliseum.

Diggin the Exploiter!

Post your reactions-from-the-public to Genzler gear here. Like do you get the sly "wink" and finger point? As in, "I know you're playing the best gear". Or the raised eyebrow acknowledgement from the bassist who SHOULD have bought a Genzler but got a girlfriend gift of a F****r and is too sheepish to exchange it for the right stuff. Inquiring minds want to know!
