I’m amazed how good this thing sounds! Think I need something new to go under that 2x10.
I heard the two comments below (before they heard the combo) from the two bands I'm currently in:
1. Bass amps need a 15" speaker, that 12" won't do.
2. That amp is too small and light for a good bass sound.
Then they heard my MG350-12T-V combo and got schooled on what a quality Genzler amp can do!
I just smiled.
I guess I’ll need another mg800 then since my first one powers 3xba12’s...

I just did some tracks with a side project of my band. Basically same guys minus one, haha. It’s all fast hardcore punk. For this project, I actually moved away from my mostly neutral amp settings. I was looking for that old school 80’s GK rb on the rails sound. I dialed in a ton of modern contour and goosed the treble up to almost 3 o’clock. The result was spectacular. A little drive in front via a DG b7k, and it was everything I was looking for but more. It was “that” sound, but bigger all around.
Took the direct signal, post EQ, and one mic on an SWR 6x10. I’ll post em up when they’re finished.

@Joeykun Great name for a tribute band. You sound really good. We don't do any Foreigner (not sure why as we have your exact instrumentation - female lead vox) but we do a number of Journey tunes.
Good stuff! So what's the cabinet combination of choice for this weekend?
My Magellan 350 arrived last night and I was surprised how different the shell material is compared to the 800. I much prefer this textured black plastic on the 350. I honestly don’t miss the drive channel (didn’t do much for me on my 800) and I don’t think I’ll ever use the effects loop. Overall I think this suits me better! Boy did I miss the clarity of this amp.
My long sleeve tee arrived too, but it does run a bit small so I’m exchanging it for a size up! Excellent material and perfect for the summer.
