Genzler Amplification Club

Come on Bob! Go BIG or Go Home.
Stack ‘em and Play ‘em! They were made this way. (I know I’m evil)

I'm looking forward to things continuing to open up so I can play larger venues again. When that happens, I'd love to add a BA12-3 under the pair of BA10-2s. Bring out my MG800 and I'll have a rig to reckon with!

Thanks for that.
Have you tried the MG122T and 112TV together? I assume it will provide a glimpse into how two T-Vs would sound as I haven’t seen anything posted about doubling those up.
I have 2 BA10-2s and 1 112T-V, and any combination of the 3 sound good. But you’re right in that 2 of the same type probably sound best.
Just trying to decide if I ‘need’ another MG112T-V or a BA12-3.

Looking for the best 2 cab solution since I never get PA support.

Thanks

Yesterday I used 2 BA12-3s and a MG800 at a winery gig outside playing all kinds of dance music and it sounded great. I get out sometimes and dance with the crowd as I play. The audience loves it. We had a pa but the guitarist running the sound never dials me in (go figure) but I still heard myself in front, beside and behind the pa. We're not Metal Loud but pretty loud.

I've played the same venue with 2 BA10-2s and a MG350 (again, I wasn't in the pa). This combination didn't have the low end and output needed to keep up (of course, you can only expect so much). It had great tone and punch tho. So I had to stay put to hear it.

I haven't tried a MG12T-V so I can't comment but if you're not using a pa, I suggest a cabinet(s) with sufficient speaker surface area and a high powered amp to drive them. And if you're too loud you can always turn down.

Yes, good to have options.
What I am seeing is that once a player gets used to the sound from a bass array, it is difficult to perceive a non-array cab as normal. Anyone making the transition from an array cab to a non-array cab, I suggest give your ears some time to adjust, as they can sound good too. And the same applies when transitioning from a non-array cab to an array cab. It is just that the paper cone driver array has a different sound than a cab with a horn.
I agree totally. I would have a hard time not using a non BA cab. Game changer. Thanks Jeff!

Got a tip from a little birdie this morning as I was ordering a NC-212T cab cover that something special was happening in due order. Just took a gander at the website and noticed no one seems to have noticed over here yet. In summary: IT LIVES!!!!

4 ON THE FLOOR CLASSIC BASS OVERDRIVE PEDAL - Genzler Amplification

Figured I may as well order them both at the same time...

Have one in my cart but can’t pay as no shipping is available to my address…

@Jeff Genzler

do we Canadians need to order from a dealer up here or can we order it via the website?

@Loring ---- please email me as there are a couple of options for you folks across the border. [email protected]

Thanks for your interest.

I had the pleasure to be a beta tester on the 4 on the Floor. This pedal does it all from a clean boost to a melting fuzz like tone and everything in between. Of which every setting I came up with was very musical. Gear up and order your Floor On The Floor. Even if you are not a pedal guy, this pedal will work for you.

Check out Nate’s demo video and you will hear for yourself.

It's on backorder now. I just bought one and hope it will be here soon! Ah, who am I kidding, it'll get here when it gets here. I put my name on the list for an Analogman King of Tone pedal for my guitars earlier this year. The delivery wait is over four years! I think I can handle whatever the wait is for Jeff's pedal. It looks and sounds incredible.

To go off topic a bit, that KoT is worth the wait. I had one on my guitar board for years and swore I’d never sell it. It is far and away my favorite OD for guitar and stacks well with screamer types. Then I stopped playing electric and sold it. Now I’m playing some electric again and am on the list too :bassist:

Do any of the 4otF settings mimic/reproduce the 800's drive channel?

1st gear - Ampeg B15
2nd Gear - Vox AC30B
3rd Gear - Ampeg SVT
4th Gear - Acoustic 360

These are “tonal references” as there is a very broad range of tones within each “gear” depending on the chosen settings of drive, blend, HPF, and LPF. The above referenced video does a nice job of laying it out.

Good question and the answer is not exactly.
Our Overdrive engine for the 4 ON THE FLOOR pedal is completely different than how we achieve the Drive Channel on the MG-800. And the pedal was also designed as a compliment to the MAGELLAN amps so there is not a direct duplicate. BUT certainly you can get a somewhat similar texture and character with the 4-OTF pedal, like the MG-800.
There is a lot of versatility in the pedal so what ever your fancy in overdrive to some distortion it should be there.
Hope this is helpful.

Nate said in his video that the pedal was developed by a collaboration of Jeff's team and Andy Field! Great to see them working together again!

Yes, this is a "redux collaboration" working together with Andy, just like the old GB days. Andy say's "it's like getting the band back together, again".

If you check out the Product page on our website you can get a sense of the entire back story for the GENZLER pedal project.

I put in the pre-order for the 4otF pedal just now. Used a different email since I couldn't figure out a way to enter my normal one on the site, but excited to see it when it gets here. If Canadians have to bribe you with maple syrup, Jeff, I do live in Colorado.... just sayin'... I can send you some buffalo meat or something. And it says the pre-order will be available June 26. Misses my birthday by a day, but I am patient.
