I have no doubt. I love the shuttle and expect the mg-800 will be better yet

Thank you for checking our Nordstrand's website out... these genzler amps and cabs are something more than just special. Since I started bringing them to my gigs, everywhere I get outstanding comments from band members and sound guys! Also lots of customers get so impressed by our rig/s we have at the shop/s to test their instruments that often they end up ordering them!

Hard not to sound like a fanboy with gear this good.
BTW, I've built a 6-string multi scale (36 - 33) using the Dingstrand (or Nordwall) pickups with the Glock 3-band pre, and I'm absolutely loving it (playing through a Magellan and 2 BA12-3s).
The Magellan 800 arrived yesterday and I had a little time with it this afternoon...
WOW. It seems to have more of everything that I love about my Shuttle 9.0. I plugged it into my BA12-3 and turned it on and my jaw hit the floor. It sounded HUGE. I was a little worried about the comment that folk have said its voice sits between the Shuttle and Streamliner. I love the Shuttle and didn't want to stray from that. To my ear it doesn't. There is more "heft" as has been said here but it just sounds like a bigger more muscular Shuttle to me. I'm a happy camper.
I put a little longer review here.
Bottom line, this is an amazing head. Between this and my BA12-3 the only things I have GAS for are another BA12-3, or maybe a BA210-3... and maybe the Magellan 350 combo

This is good news for me. I'm a huge fan of the Genz Benz Shuttle line. I still have my Shuttle 9 for 6 years now, and I wanted something that'll sound low gain tube if I wanted to. But like you, I didn't want to lose the clean power of the Shuttle. I think I'll put up my Shuttle for sale now. Doesn't look like I'd get much with some of the recent classifieds on TB though. If you're just looking at the clean voice, it is an upgrade, but from my little playing with it yesterday, not a huge one. That is subject to change as I get to play it in band settings. Unfortunately, I don't have any louder band gigs in the near future so I'll only be hearing it in the context of the church band I play in. I'm guessing the differences might become more obvious as the volume goes up.
The other voices do look useable to me and I didn't really expect that. I never pushed the buttons on the shuttle but the pot on the two contours and the musicality of those eq changes might make them something I could and likely will use. And I never used any dirt at all... but now I can see myself using it while copping some synth lines. Again, it is very musical, especially with the BA cab. So even with a small upgrade in the clean (again, having not had a chance to hear it in a louder context), adding these other three voices seems to make the head a good choice. Had I not sold some other gear though, I wouldn't have felt any real need to upgrade. It really was a "wow, I have some extra gear cash... maybe I'll upgrade to the MG-800." But I'm glad I did.
I just picked up a 10-2 and 12-3 to go with my Magellan 800 ...

can you compare the two cabs? and tell us how well they play together?
I've posted elsewhere to this end, but ....
I find the 12-3 to be more "round" sounding, with more lows (not a surprise) and a clean top end.
For the 10-2, it is far more punchy, and "midrangy" to my ears.
Together, they cover it all.

Last week i was going to the 115 Uber and Magellan 212 at 2.67 Ω...
I wound up using only the Magellan 212 @ 4Ω though.. I forgot to put the switch back to the 4Ω setting and ran it all week @ the 2.67Ω setting into my 4 Ω cab.. sounded fine. I didn't notice anything wrong.. Sounded tight...

So... I used the MG-800 today with the church band. We do a wide variety of material and today included ska, U2ish rock, a very melodic ballad, and 2 slower rock tunes. The MG-800 sounded great. My first impression was that it is bigger in every way than the shuttle and that was borne out. All registers of the bass had more heft. The upgrade in the clean voice is more significant than I thought once I got into the band setting.

Congrats on your new amp! I have heard those type of comments from others, especially the "heft" comment.

I assume you mean the BA210-3 unless you have a pre-production 10-2? I have not yet heard the BA10-2 but if speaking of the BA210-3 then I agree with your comments on the difference of the two cabs. When paired with an identical cab it does change a bit to my ears, the BA210-3 as the pair perceives to have more lows and the BA112-3 as the pair perceives to be more "punchy". And then we have a stack of 3, which slightly changes these parameters again, to my ears. It will be interesting to see how a stack of 3 of the BA110-2 compare to the BA210-3.

Second rehearsal last night with the MG-800 and more good feedback from the guitarist (never a bad thing). I just love how I can hear everything I play for a change, even with ear plugs in. The bass jumps right out on the recordings I make with my little Zoom H4n. One of these days I'll get this out on the gig to see what's what, but I expect it'll be more of the same.

Just to confirm, that yes, @abngourmet is referring to his BA210-3 cab and the new rig he has with both our BA12-3 and BA210-3 cabs.
Also, the NEW BA10-2 cabs (and MG-350-BA10-COMBOS) will be begin shipping to dealers later next week.
