I am so loving my Magellan 800 paired with a CN212, people I play with are regularly wowed by how great it sounds.
The DI is great as well, I am using IEM's this week at a 3 day event and the Genzler is my DI box. Sound guy came over yesterday at sound check saying a how clean and pure the DI output is.
Jeff Genzler makes great gear...period!

Well lookie what arrived in the mail today! Im pretty hype about giving it a decent run through. I remember seeing it in the German music store and getting hooked immediately. I'll be pushing it through my old NeoX 212T. This is the first model (if the older ones are any different). Pretty pumped to dump some greasy funk through it. :smug:

When your New 12-3 cab arrives the same day you finish building a fretless jazz. It's bass heaven.
Found a way to swap cabinets to the 12-3, turned out the shipment arrived the same day I finally finished building a new fretless jazz. First time plugging new bass in was to the new combined setup. A fretless mwah accepts the drive channel harmonics in a pretty cool way. Will be preoccupied here for a bit now...wow.

Thanks much to SLaPiNFuNK / bassstringsonline.com for the sweet TB deal on the NAMM demo unit. It's flawless from what I can tell.

This is the same cab I use at rehearsal and it sounds like a million bucks. Can't wait to hear your feedback about it...

Congrats! I just use the same stack for medium sized gigs with two of my bands. Lots of punch and deep end, but also nice mids and a fine high end - and loud, if you need it. I partikulary like the two contours and the drive-knob.

When I pulled the trigger, there still was no Magellan available at Music Store, I had to get it via Bassdirect in the UK. No problems at all, it arrived two days after they recieved the payment.

Magellan 800 is now my main amp.. It has replaced a lead sled type too.. The amp has the heft I've been looking for in a lightweight.
Yesterday was an outdoor mini street festival gig in Texas. It was warm outside. Running the amp at 2.67Ω , and i was loud.. Real loud.
Where other class D amps would start to limit in a detectable way, i did not detect limiting.. Either the amp has more headroom than i am used to from other class D amps, or the magellan 800 is limiting in such a way it is not noticeable.

I dont really need to play that loud but i really wanted to try it out and push it since no one seemed to mind ...

Im going to pick up a rack shelf next week so i can Rack it with Velcro.. This is my main amp now. Totally dependable and can do any sound that i have in my head. I have 3 settings that i use for 3 different situations that im current playing..
I think that This amp could possibly become of of the classics in due time.
For me, it is the first class D amp that truly delivers what i like and is consistent..

I was asked last minute to play bass at an all day event this Saturday and took just my Genzler 800 and 1 of my 210-3 arrays. The church was huge but had a killer house system so I had unbelievable sound with my stage and house using the Genzler DI. The more I play my Genzler gear the more I love them. They recorded some of the sets and the bass sounded so full and set perfectly in the mix. I had my newest Custom Spa,ted Maple Warrior and you could feel every note I played. Amazing feeling lol.

Spent all day today going over the final assembly and personally playing a ton of the new BA10-2 cabs. Will be in the warehouse in a couple of days and moving right out to fill dealer orders.

Looking for a little advice about the DI on the MG800.

As others have mentioned, it sounds absolutely fantastic, but I'm having a bit of a challenge with the output level going into my band's recording interface. I'm fairly sure the pre-amp in the interface is kind of weak, but even with the volume on either channel of the MG800 abs on the interface extremely low, I am consistently peaking out the input.

In order to avoid peaking the interface I have to turn down the amp volume to the point where I'm not getting enough headroom through the master volume to keep up with the rest of the band.

I'm not sure if there are any tricks to controlling the DI volume that I'm not aware of, or what, but any ideas would be most helpful!

Have you set the DI out to MIC instead of LINE.. LINE level is much hotter than MIC... If you are peaking out the input of your interface try switching DI out to MIC level , not LINE and see how that works for you.
If you are still overloading your interface, you may want to switch the DI out to PRE EQ. That way NONE of the changes that you make to your Amp will affect the DI out.

I run my DI out PRE EQ.. That way NONE of the changes that i make to the Input Gain, ,EQ, or Contour affects the DI out. Only the MUTE will affect the DI when in PRE EQ,

If you are running POST on the DI out all changes that you make on the amp ( except MASTER VOL) will affect the DI out.. Gain and EQ changes can cause your recording interface to overload easily..
Try setting your DI out to Pre EQ and MIC level.. That would be all switches in the DOWN position
