Thanks for quoting the Manual.... Correct, we DO NOT recommend using the headphone out for anything other than headphones.
If trying to use it for a Tuner Out you would have no independent control of the output from this jack and it is probably too hot a signal for a tuner. Also using a Mono plug into this jack might load some of the components differently and potentially cause some excessive heating of the resisters in the circuit.
We felt that there are so many pedal tuners that can be a plug through on the front end OR clip-on options that this would not be a major inconvenience for users.
Maybe. When I use my GB Shuttle 3.0-10T I have a small tuner velcro'ed on to the top. When I use this amp I silly don't use my pedals - TU-2 and JDI - so I like having a tuner out. Not a "deal breaker" as i'd just get a clip on for those very occasional gigs. Of all the options on the back of amps - tuner out, effects loop, etc. - I have found that the only one I ever use is the tuner out. I'm sure I'm in the minority.

Tuner out got pretty popular on amps and that's what I've gotten used to using. I just bought a clip-on tuner and am not a huge fan. Doesn't work well with my Tobias with the Low B and headstock geometry. Would no Tuner Out be a dealbreaker for me for buying an amp? I would pause but ultimately no, especially when thinking about buying an integrated head/cab combo like the MG350/BA10. Benefits outweigh that missing feature by far. I like having the tuner on top of the amp where I can see it clearly. I guess I would just use a tuner pedal with a short cable to the amp and stick it on the amp same way I set up a tuner with Tuner Out.

Yes there are some pedal tuners out there. But I don't like pedals in my signal chain - except for my big one tube monster, the BVV 3000. No "tuner out" on this one, and, even more important, no mute knob. So in this case I put my Korg DT 10 in front of it, problem solved.
TRo be serious, I come on stage with an instrument that is in tune. So maybe I'll have a look or two during the set, lets say, maybe after a collision with some guys who don't give way as fast as they should....
Next thing is the lack of clip on tuners to show a low B - or A#. Most time I play 5-bangers, tuned in A#. This makes tuning with a clip-on-tuner on stage a PIA, as I have to use the harmonics to get a propper sign of the tone.
YMMV, but I learned to prefer pedal tuners, fed by a Tuner Out.

I never had a pedal board.. I use a Peterson Pedal Strobostomp.. I have the Old grey one and the newer Classic.. I actually like the older grey one.. The readout is larger..
So then i added my old Boss Octaver then a line buffer... which made me Now have a pedal board.. Ughhhhh.. hahahah.. BUT the good thing is the pedal board gives you a BUFFER ZONE to keep straggler guitar players from entering your ZONE... lol

As I told you before, no pedals for me.
But I have my dog for this. Just some (minor) problems with the commands (like "let the gitarrist go"....), as the poor old pal seems to loose his hearing protection from time to time....

Got me a MG 800 about 6 month ago, maybe the second one in Germany. A friend of mine got the first one, we both ordered our amps at bassdirect in the UK as the MG 800 was not available in our country.
Besides that I use a GBE 600, 750 and 1200, all equipped with the "magic output".
So what....?
Yeah well to save space on the 350 something had to go I guess. Nice to have a very compact unit for sure. I suppose you could get one of those parallel spliter things to go right before you plug into the amp. they are supposed to be sonicaly invisible. Otherwise you just have to plug into your tuner, tune, then plug into your amp I guess.

Yeah, an A/B/Y pedal with isolation would do it...but there is no real signal degradation using a tuner with true bypass; I use a micro-tuner in-line even on amps that have built-in tuners.
Maybe add a little razor wire??
I'm a non pedal guy that has also seemed to, somehow, acquire a small pedalboard. Oh well.....Worse things could happen....
I have a Shure wireless instrument connector that includes a tuner that mutes the signal. It is awesome.
When I use an amp it's usually not with IEM's so I don't use my little board - TU-2/JDI/Rolls PM50S - so that's why I like a little tuner (like a Korg CA 40) stuck to the top of my amp via the tuner out.
Now that Jeff has an update to my beloved Shuttle 3.0-10T I have debated upgrading, but the lack of a tuner out is a bummer. If I get a new 350 Combo I'll either find the smallest pedal tuner possible and stick it on the cab next to the head or use my Nano board for the tuner and my JDI for my DI.

Yes there is a rear/top edge handle that is very comfortable for carrying the combo. If you check out the pictures on our website you can see that detail.
The optional carry bag makes it really easily to schlepp the combo too.
Yep.... been using a pedal board for a while. Super simple and has some options that can be used on many differing styles and gigs.
