Where do you place the amp when you do this? Or your pedals? Do you have a stool or bench? I'm debating trying this at church.

Where do you place the amp when you do this? Or your pedals? Do you have a stool or bench? I'm debating trying this at church.
Only time I've ever used no cabinet for IEM was a couple weeks ago. I used just my Genzler 800 to feed the FOH and IEM. This is a church that is rather large and I've had a hard time in the past getting a good House tone. This setup was the best FOH I've ever gotten and the IEM was great to. I simply put the 800 in a chair behind me where I could make minor adjustments if needed. I honestly don't remember making any though, I used my Line 6 G30 wireless to walk out in the chapel before the service and it amazed me how good the FOH was. These amps have a killer DI in them.

Mine was on a church gig.. I just put it on the floor on the drum riser.. It was at shin level.. .. I'm pretty clumsy so i don't want to trip over it

I have 2 Genzler BA210-3's coming my way and will be here tomorrow for a gig. I look forward to seeing what thee babies will do. I'm a firm believer in Jeff's products.
interesting... what made you decide to drop the 12's? I thought you loved them
I loved my setup, but a couple people I really trust in judgment told me that the 210's are even better for what I need them for. Besides I thought 1 of the 210 cabs could handle smaller gigs better for me.
Just got these in and hooked them up and gave a quick run through with my Warriors. 1st impression is they seem to have alot more output and clarity seems a little bit better. The low end doesn't seem as much as the 12-3 stack I owned but I believe this will punch harder. I was more impressed with just 1 hooked in that I believe 1 will do 90% of my gigs now easily. The Genzler stuff is simply powerhouses and can't be beat. The weight seems more than just 4lbs different and it's definitely bigger so that is a downfall but still very lightweight for a 210 and 500 watts. Very impressive cabinets. Can't wait to try 1 of them tonight in a live setting with full band. I like the recess handle design better than the other on the 12-3 cabs.

This set-up is the best I've ever played. I don't need any more brightness, I've actually rolled of treble on the bass AND the amp and it does both: sit in the mix and cut through. Loving it.
Just a thought, maybe the moderators could combine this thread with this one: Genzler Amplification ! New Genz Benz ?

I was wondering what settings does users of the Genzler 800 use most and what does these settings give you tonally? I pretty much use countiur B and and flat across.

Me too.I've been using it set pretty much flat, with no Contour.
My current settings when I use it with my active PJ with flats and a single 15" with no tweeter are Contour B between 9-11, Bass at 1 o'clock, Mids at 11, Mod Freq at 1 and Treble Flat or 11. When I first got the head I used the same settings using Contour A around 9 o'clock but that was when I using round wounds. That contour button really gives the PJ (dialed up to about 75% of the P pickup) that mid forward grunt.
When I'm using my 2x10 cab that has a slight mid dip i find myself setting the mids to 1 and the mid freq to 11.
I go back and forth between the Clean and Drive channels. The Drive channel has the drive between 9-11 depending on the amount of hair I'm looking for. Per Jeff's comments earlier leaving the drive around 9 and 11 leaves more of the girth in the tone. As you push the gain the lows and highs are dialed back to keep the drive more musical sounding.
Really though I haven't been able to find a tone that couldn't work. One night I didn't have any dirt pedals so I found myself cranking the gain and while it wasn't as gnarly as I get with my pedals it did just fine. I was really tweaking the knobs that night seeing what I could find and it was fun. The one thing I haven't found useful is pushing Contour A past noon. That being said I'm not slapping and I'm sure if you were looking for that Marcus Miller thump that could be the ticket.
Last night I had a gig with a band that we're friends with and we share the night alternating sets from 9-1:30 so we share a backline. The bass player in the other band is always happy to use my rig. She says she's been telling her friends about it and is looking to buy one soon! She makes her living playing bass in Los Angeles and she doubles so this amp would be perfect for her.
Love this amp.

It's a good thing that i have not sold my Uber 115 cabs yet.. I have a few large gigs this week where i will use One Uber 115 and my new genzler Magellan 212 with the Magellan 800 at 2.6Ω.. It is a well matched and LOUD rig.. sadly, i already sold off my Uber 115 road cases..
