These days I never have PA support, but I've played a variety of venues with just the MG350/MG12T-V combo (with two guitars, moderate drummer, and vocals only through the PA) and it's unreal how much sound it produces, without ever coming close to pushing it too hard. I guess I'm just wondering how different the Nu Classic tone is.

I used various Shuttle and ShuttleMax amps into Shuttle and NeoX speaker cabs for many years and was totally satisfied with their performance and reliability. I never had a chance to hear the Focus cabs though.

Lighter than I imagined, but the two side handles really help.

I just discovered the song Blow by Ed Sheeran, Chris Stapleton, and Bruno Mars (after 11M+ other people have apparently heard it...) and I'm digging the greasy grimy bass on it. It's giving me a good reason to continue dialing in my board so I'm having a little fun over here cascading distortions between the 4otF and the 800 head to come up with my own greasy grimy tone. Using the 4otF as a mild breakup, always on, stage set to keep the low end a little tighter with mild grit through the low/hi mids. Here's the settings.

And then using the footswitch to kick in a bit more on top of it using the drive channel on the head.

I'm playing my Lakland 44-60 GZ-PJ, tuned down a 1/2 step, using mostly the p pickup with just a little J for some mid forward edge to it. Oh, and a pick.



Here's the full rig. After all this, I recorded onto a voice memo on my phone. Doh!

Ha! Yeah. I’m back to (some) pedals. I have a yo-yo relationship with them but this board is designed to be (mostly) transparent with some compression, a little dirt, and added EQ options if I need them. Covers me for amped/ampless gigs…although I prefer amped. :thumbsup:

Nice set up. Great pedal board layout.
Seems like you've got a hole up there in the upper left corner, next to the 4 ON THE FLOOR. In a couple of weeks we can show you something that might fill that blank space.
Could be a nice combination with your 4-OTF.

I was hoping for this so left a little "expansion" room just in case!
