I use a Darkglass B7K Ultra pedal that is a big part of my tone. The 4OTF adds a boost/OD to some songs. The rest of the sounds are modulation (Chorus, Phase, Filter) The Magellan 800 is mostly set at noon with Clean Channel-Contour A around 10:00. I may tweak it depending on the room and cabs. (BA210-3 vs BA15-3)

Between my fingers, pedalboard and amp they all contribute to my personal tone goals live.

At rehearsal, I plug directly into the Magellan 800 Drive Channel-Contour A at 10:00 and primarily the BA15-3 SLT cab. The re/Q pedal sometimes shows up too!

I’ve run a ton of pedals through the Magellan and think they sound great. Usually I prefer the clean channel when running any dirt though. The pedals I run a darkglass alpha/omega, diabolik fuzz, and way huge porkloin with various stacking.
Lately what I’ve been really jazzed about has been the grind I’ve been getting with the overdrive channel. Using my active pj with Sadowsky pre really drives it into some grindy tones but with my p with flats I get sweet vintage. I’ve had the amp 6(?) years and am still surprised in the best ways. Its also allowed me to mostly stop using the porkloin which was used m mostly for light gain.

I run a pretty big board into my Magellan but 95% of the time it’s my empress bass compressor and my Magellan and that’s it. When I do run dirt through it - it sounds natural and nuanced. I use genzler 4 on the floor, an mbd-2 and a plasma drive. (Sometimes the fuzz on my pralines and sometimes one of my presets on the H9 will have some dirt on it)

So i was able to run my full 2 15"STL ARRY cabs last night at a decent sized venue with amazing PA and the genzler shined! I got so many compliments on the tone and i didnt have to push it. Sound guy made me laugh cause we were opener an headline band used just an fx board so anyway the sound dude seen my 2" 15" and he gave me a death look and said " man you dont plan to blare that an we cant do it and all this" he was a newer guy and I told him after laughing a little like no man, I only even got the second 15" not for volume or thump for more clarity, headroom, and clean rumble. Anyway we both laughed cause he realized i wasnt one of those dudes just trying to blow everyone out. While i should have turned up a little more, man it sounded great on stage an I heard all night long after the set my bass was roaring. Its nice to have a bass tone be noticable like that of the genzler. Regardless of how good you are these cabs an head are amazing. The DI sounded great the soundman LOVED me after the show to say the least. I ended up asking so what you think? he goes "dude your rig is amazing!"

The Genzler rig was killing it at the 2022 Link Removed this past weekend. Jeff sent me an NC-210T and the brand new NC-115T, which I powered with my trusty MG-800. Sean Fairchild ([Invalid or Expired Link Removed]) used this rig for his awesome session, and Pancho Tomaselli (Link Removed) used it during his sessions, as well as on stage Saturday night. I think I may have made a new Genzler convert out of Pancho!

Yes, consider this the TB "sneak peek". Official launch will be Thursday with web info, demo video, etc. We'll start shipping in early May.

Some of the details: 1 x 15" w/ tweeter; Ferrite/ceramic 15", 400W / 8 ohms; Weight 37 lbs; 24.25" tall, same foot print as all other Nu Classic cabs.

So glad that Tom was able to have this rig available at the Midwest Rhythm Summit! I heard it was a great success and such a good time.
And a big thank you to Genzler endorsee's Sean Fairchild and Doug Johns for being there as well.

I had the pleasure of demoing the NC-115T along with the NC-210T as well. This rig packed a punch with such fullness and clarity. The NC-115T by itself has a great low end along with a nice mid focus that is perfect for both 4 & 5 string basses!

I was very pleased with this setup and it can easily handle any gig big or small!!

Here it is next to my Bass Array rig!
