So I need to adjust the output of my Roscoe passive P bass. It’s not quite up there with my Sadowsky 5JJ when I boost the bass a bout 30%. I was thinking maybe a pedal preamp, but I was wondering if the R/eq might be an option.
If I am thinking correctly, both basses can benefit from the filters, and then when I play the P bass I activate the eq and eq output to bring it up to “Sadowsky” level, correct?

Picked up the 115 from Bob's Guitars in Cedar Falls for The Boy last night at his lesson. With church/confirmation/homework as well, he had a little time to help set things up and play around a bit.
Without a ton of testing, the MG-800/NC-212T/NC-115T combo is a BEAST!!! Master volume was set around 10 o'clock and EQ was at 12 across all dials and things were shaking.
As a combo, the 115 really packed that low end punch we were expecting and the 212 separated the higher frequencies with a definite distinction between the two cabs. The tonal clarity was simply astounding...and this is in a bedroom! We plan to try out each cab individually, play with the tone a bit more and get him dialed in to a sound he prefers this weekend.
Suffice it to say, @Jeff Genzler you and your team have knocked this out of the ballpark - OUTSTANDING!!!
He was also glad that the rig wasn't as tall as him...

That's one sweet stack and looks like a happy camper. When he hits his growth spurt you can always add another 15 so the stack can keep up with him. Hmmm, 1x15 + 2x12 vertical stack @ 800 watts. Maybe consider normalizing gain simply with your Reddi, or other existing gain adjustable device.
I could try that but the issue is to be able to swap basses quickly live. Making adjustments (other than stepping on a switch) isn't the most efficient way to do that.
A local store has an MXR Thump. It's a tiny pedal so that's nice, and it has the same EQ points as a Sadowsky preamp (40Hz and 4Khz) for bass and treble. I may try that.
Have heard repeatedly that those are super noisy. I'd suggest looking elsewhere
Have you checked out any Radial switcher pedals like the Bigshot? It lets you set a level for each instrument and then simply toggle between them.

I did look at the source audio. I also thought we could set the gain with the P bass and then I could just dial back the volume on my J bass to match? Does it need to be “full throttle” to sound good?
Good is subjective, some will prefer the sound with the volume knob backed off a little, some will prefer the full on sound. I will say that leaving both at full volume and normalizing on the pedal will make it much more consistent since you won’t have to guess where you set the volume on one bass and risk bumping it.
I played around with putting something under my BA10-2 to angle it more toward my ears when playing and stacked under the BA12-3. I used a piece of PVC pipe I had laying around. Will this have a large negative effect on the sound out front since the arrays are angled more drastically away from each other? It sounded good while practicing in a small room, but no idea about at a gig.
