I love my Dimension - plays really nicely, and with the American Deluxe HH, there are so many great tonal options just using the pickup switcher, from grindy and aggressive to punchy and clean, to fat and beefy.

Combined with the Magellan, it's hard to imagine it getting much better :)

The only thing I didn't like was the white pickguard, so I had a black one made for me.

I have hooked up all three cabs --- (two 8 ohm Schroeder cabs and one Epifani 5.65 ohm cab). Then set the switch to the 2.67 ohm setting on the Genzler. And it seems to still sound great. I just can't push it hard. And need to watch it.

But the MG-800 does fine even with that load. Sound is great and tight. And I still get the Schroder overall loudness tone and coverage and the 3-10 punch from the Epifani. Couldn't be happier.

I just have to watch it, and not dig in to hard, to where the Amp will have issues. But seems to be fine. No heating issues etc. when doing so.

This may not be a cabinet set up I use all the time. All I'm saying is it is possible and can be used in some cases. Most of the time, for most gigs I'll only bring two cabs, either dual Schroeders, or a Schroder and the Epifani. All depends.

But that MG-800 is the best small amp I have ever dealt with. Seems to do the job easily. And Luv the sound.

I double on acoustic guitar (percussive fingerstyle) and have used all variety of acoustic guitar amps and small PA's through the years. This morning I decided to try my acoustic through my shuttle and BA12-3... it was astoundingly good. Everything we love about that cab for bass translated perfectly onto the acoustic guitar.

I've been using a Carvin AG300 (the acoustic amp with a 3 way cab) after jettisoning a Fishman SA200 (not enough bass response for my dropped tunings) and while the Carvin is a very good acoustic amp, it is going up for sale. I just don't need it any longer and there is other gear I could use the cash for :thumbsup:

I think there is a TB member in the East Bay with a Magellan 800 and Bass Array cabs. I think he plays in a Journey Tribute band. I'm trying to remember but if you send me a PM with your contact info I'll see if I can connect you.
Dunlop Manufacturing also has the same rig in their showroom in the North Bay.
