Not to thread hijack, but without going through 600+ pages, has anyone done coffee shop or smaller gigs with the 350 combo, or with the 10-2 cab?

I have used a 10-2 by itself for a few musicals, and it has plenty of juice for the pit and house. There were drummers, but they weren’t playing full tilt and the pit was not going through FOH. I don’t see the cab having any problem with a coffeehouse.

Yes, I've done plenty of restaurant/coffee house gigs with the MG350/BA10-2 combo. The trio consisted of two amplified acoustic guitars and three vocals through a Bose PA. The combo was plenty.

I added an additional BA10-2 to the combo with a full band of two electric guitars, controlled drummer (really!) and three vocals through the PA. Once again the combo plus additional cab was more than enough even in larger rooms.

In both cases the rig did not go through the PA and was nowhere near its limit. The BA10-2 really punches above its weight.

You can just see the blue lights of the MG350 behind me, which is on top of a pair of BA10-2s. This was a fairly large room with maybe 100 people, and the rig was more than enough for the gig!

Did you try them in different places in the stack? I’ve tried using the bottom and top identical cabs in a stack independently and the difference in sound was incredible.

actually all I did was scooch over the Bergantino on top so the woofer is aligned on the left. And it really makes a difference if you can believe that! Speaker coupling with the Genzler below it, in a vertical array. Call me crazy but I swear I can hear it. Smoother and more cohesive sound; a bit bigger and more bass.

And actually yes, tried the BA15 on top of the 210 and really preferred the 15 on the bottom. Moved more air and sounded bigger. (This was without the Berg on top)

I tried a 2x BA210-3 SLT as well. Super fast and articulate but a little crunchy in the mids. The BA15 and BA210 sounded much more balanced, *beautiful* and full range tho not quiiiiite as fast. Highs were more extended and glassy and the mids smoother too. Glad I opted for this multi driver setup.

would love to try a 210 STR on top of my 210 SLT. Two 210 SLT’s is a little too bright…

dead notes on the BA 15 /210 SLT are sooo fun the way they punch and move air. Love my BA115/BA210SLT stack!!!

Yes. The little guy continues to amaze me! I have the BA10-2 extension cabinet, but have gigged just the combo and it filled a small to medium bar with no problem. I did an outdoor party (just some friends) and was surprised at how well the combo was heard and recorded. There were no half-stacks in attendance—just 30-50 watt tube combos, keys and a full drum kit.
IMHO, coffee houses should not present any problem. Another benefit of the Bass Array design is just how very well it covers an area.

The MG350/BA10-2 is a formidable combo. I used it successfully but found I wanted just a "tad" more for outdoor jazz and singer/songwriter type gigs. I went to the MG350/12T-V combo and am very happy as well. It's not the BA cabs that everyone is gaga over (I like them, too) but I like the form (more vertical) and look of the MG cab. If I need a big, room filling rig, I'd probably have a BA stack. But for my gigs, the MG350/12T-V is perfect.

The other cool think about the 10-2 is how small and light it is. It feels impossibly light.

My band had a weeknight gig playing at the beer garden at our local county fair. We had a record-setting night, and sold out of beer twice (having restocked after the first sellout). Great night, nice stage, and my first time taking the Genzler Nu Classic cabs out on a gig (2x10 and 1x15). They are slightly differently voiced than the BA cabs, but with a few minor tweaks on the MG-800, I had my tone dialed in and they sounded great!

Here's a better look at the basses (in addition to the NS NXT4a): Lull MV4, Nordy vJ5, Drake Model 10.

I’ve spent much time reading on the Genzler cabs and I do prefer the ceramic speakers, though it sounds like Genzler has some killer neos also. I could use one cab for small gigs and two for larger. I love my Berg Reference 112’s also, but maybe a hair too hi-fi/sterile for my taste. BTW… what is your NC stack sitting on?

Another shout out for the BA10–2. I have the acoustic array pro combo Gollihur version and it is basically the same cab. It probably sounds a touch different since the dimensions of the combo are a little smaller for the woofer I think. I also have the extension can and it’s an amazingly capable little ten! Can sound a little boxy by itself sometimes but it is my favorite small amp. The two stacked sounds surprisingly big! It’s much better than only one but one will do the job.
Although, I prefer the punch of the Phil Jones 2x7 on top of the combo. Rear ported so a bit more immediacy, less high
mid crunch, and a glassier extended top end. Also a bit less boomy for upright. I use this rig on at least half of my gigs for both basses and it can cover a ton of range! Sounds incredible; clear, big, and punchy. Looks like Wally haha

So I just took delivery of the MG212T, turned out there was an issue (not Genzler’s fault), emailed Jeff, talked to him on the phone, and he’s taking care of the problem for me. I know people say it all the time, but that kind of customer service is incredible especially for a company with pretty wide distribution.

From what I can tell playing the cab in the house, I love the sound and I can’t wait to get it on stage!

Can you share some of your 4 on the Floor and Crash Box settings?

Initial 4otF settings... I do use the volume knob on my basses to dial in or out od as needed. Touch-responsive too. I'm usually in 2 or 3rd Gear. 1st for "clean".

First practice with a new group tonight, i we're IEMs... will be able to tweak more. I do run an HPF at the front of my board.
HPF --> envelope (true bypass) --> 4otF --> rest of the board.
