Dunlop makes an 18v power supply at 500mA
Voltage Doubler – Truetone
Keep it Truetone. The TVD will work fine, as the PRE-DI pedal wants 80 mA and the TVD can supply 100 mA. Just don't split the output- run it directly to the pedal. If you are wanting to run other pedals, get an appropriate brick power supply that can supply 18V. Or get a second 1Spot and split it to the other, 9V pedals.

That’s what I ordered for mine from Sweetwater. Eagerly awaiting arrival of the Pre/DI ! Will post pics when it comes and what it is replacing.
Wow I didnt know One Spot sold that voltage doubler. Might be useful on my pedalboard, since I have three 9 volt pedals, and one 18 volt (Tone Hammer). I currently have a One Spot 9 volt charger, and a Dunlop 18 volt charger zip tied under my pedalboard. Maybe I can save a little space and dump the Dunlop if I get the doubler for the TH.
I drive multiple cabs with the genzler 350 no problem so you’re head will be fine.
Ordered MG PRE/DI Wednesday the 18th. arrived today as well as my Dunlop 18 power supply! Will post pics of current pre/di the MG will replace and impressions after trying it out.
Could not resist, took 5 minutes, plugged in my KRK 8402 closed back studio cans to hear the pre quickly.
I feel like I got an assortment of GOURMET SPICES! Every thing I wanted was there! WOW! More to come!

I plugged my pedalboard directly into the pre and dialed in the perfect direct recording bass tone in 30 seconds! The geniuses nailed this one once again!!
Ok, trying to accurately describe how impressive and effective this pre is! Compared to the Spectradrive that it is replacing, it does not have a backed in tone that the Spectradrive has.
The Magellan PRE/DI is very neutral/uncolored. The EQ is very powerful, enabling me to achieve the tone I want. It’s ability reminds me of my D800+/BA15-3 combo. Extremely versatile and accurate. No excessive emphasized frequency anywhere.
I/O flexibility like the Spectradrive makes the MG Pre so versatile. Headphones sounded very good.
But then having ability to foot switch between the contours is so beneficial especially when used with aux in of amp as Nate Navarro demonstrated in the vid. Thanks Jeff, Scott, and Andy for a superior product! I am so impressed! I have been sharing this with many of my bass playing friends! Thanks again!

BA210-3, BA12-3, and BA10-2 S2. I’m getting the punch of the tens and just a little more phat and depth with the added 12. And the massive line array really puts out all the detail!!!
Someday I’ll add my BA15-3 on the bottom just for kicks and I believe @Jeff Genzler might have once stated that I actually COULD run four Genzler 8 ohm cabs with the Magellan 800 on the 2.67 setting? Even tho that makes 2 ohms? Is that correct?

Just dropping in to say that after several years sans Genz/ler gear, and having divested of any cabs other than a pair of Barefaced 110s, I really wanted a larger stack for an upcoming gig in Feb (hobbyist - I have not played out in years).
In a YOLO moment I clicked on a NuClassic 112/210 stack. I had owned a bunch of G-B cabs in the past and the little Array 110 box. I am so glad I bit on the Nu Classics. We have a new drummer who had asked me for a louder, more authoritative rig. Based on memory, they sound almost exactly like the GB Neox series, with improved form factor. It felt good to bask in a bass bath again. Band is happy and so am I. That is all. Happy Monday

My MG-PRE arrived today! Going to start working on getting it installed on my small pedal board with the R/EQ and powered up.
Right, I forgot to order the Truetone VD cable, so I'm out a week from testing it out.

I’m waiting on the cables to power both Genzler pedals with 18volts, but it’s going to look like this.
Well… I’m bummed. I’ve been looking for a preamp/DI with aux in and headphone out and dirt… I was hoping the Genzler would be it. I understand there are always choices and trade offs to be made and Genzler ran with the switchable contours. Oh well.
I tried going digital and bought a Boss GT1000 Core but that didn’t work for me. (It’s for sale in the classifieds). Then I tried the NuX NBP-5 which is digital but looks and controls like analog. There was a weird pumping that I think was a defective unit but may have been a digital artifact of some sort or a result of it being digital and trying to act analog. It’s on its way back. Next I’ll try the Darkglass B7K Ultra V2 and just ignore the cab sim. Their dirt is not my favorite flavor but using the drive, blend, and EQ controls, it looks as if I can tame that down. The Genzler plus a small dirt box is too big for my small board or I’d go that way for sure.

For the Magellan Pre pedal: the AUX in does not have a level control - is it set so that most input volumes will not distort? Or is there a range or limit of the signal it will receive well (controlled from the source)?
