I've been using my Genzler rig (magellan 800 and 2 BA 12-3's) for about a year and a half now. I love it and just want to take a second to thank everyone for this thread. Even though I haven't had a need to contact Jeff, I really appreciate his presence here too. And a big shout out to Gollihur Music. I recently had an opportunity to use it in the studio and have a decent recording with it, even though the mix is kinda trebly and lost some low end that rounds out my sound. (it sounds even better live)
Love my Magellan Pre. It’s just like my amp…but in headphones!

Note that 5.8GHz range is significantly less than 2.4GHz and is more impacted by objects (like humans) in the path. You NEED to get the new GLXD16+ with 5.8 GHz... Too much in the 2.4 GHz space these days with WiFi, Bluetooth and other devices fighting for bandwidth.
I do love that you're here to personally field questions from weekend hacks like me. Thank you.@nervous ---- thanks for the inquiry and I guess I'm one of the best persons to comment. You've stated the main features and statistical differences, and certainly there are some tonal differences.
The Series 2 will have more top-end clarity, and articulation, along with a little more LF depth.
BUT, if you're judging a nice used Series 1 BA410-3 cab that might be available, I've mentioned several times that the Series 1 is still among the best of the best when it comes to the most premier cabs on the market that are available to players. And if you have a line on a used unit in good shape, you're certainly going to get a great value for the money spent.
And the Series 2 will be more money against that cab.
If you do have a few other questions you can certainly PM me.
Hope this is helpful.
Such a great combo. The other guys make great stuff, too. I almost went Bergantino. Comp, EQ, Drive, Tuner, all the things. Sometimes I just want something that's not a menu. Turn knobs. Play bass. Sound great. Hard to beat.
I just can't pass on the like new BA410-3 with cover that I will pick up in a couple hours. It will be great I am sure as I have read nothing but glowing reviews.
That’s what I’ve been hearing, and mine is now home so I look forward to the experience. It is the best 410 cab on the market…period!! Next, grab a Magellan 800 for the complete package!!!![]()
Genzler Magellan, BA410-3 and BA12-3 stack, serving up bass and keyboard bass for me and my Zeppelin needs.
I have some performance video from a recent gig. I have to put it up as unlisted or it will be blocked from YT.
So let me know if you can view it using this link (only 3 minutes long as it is excerpts of the first half of the show).
