If anyone is looking for a nu classic 112, a local dealer of mine went out of business a couple weeks ago and has one listed on reverb for cheap. This was an in store demo. I have no affiliation other than being a customer of theirs.

Questions of those with the Magellan 350 I'm certain it's fine for home use and band practice.I'm curious about how it handles medium size rooms or outdoor activities?
I currently have a Genz-Benz Contour 500 2x10 with 1X15 external cab. It was more than enough for my needs. I plan to pair it with NC-212. If it was 500 watts I wouldn't even ask. I wanted an 800 but might have to adjust and scale back.

I have another question and apologies in advance if it's a no-brainer type of question but would I be happy with the Magellan 350 or should I get the Magellan 800 for my home studio set-up where again it's for recording and practice. Are there features on the Magellan 800 that is worth spending the extra 400 quid for or it's a total overkill?

The Magellan 800 has an effects loop and an integrated drive channel that some like. Thats pretty much it.

Myself I use a 350 at home for practice and the 800 for rehearsal and gigs. However, I do not utilize the effects loop nor the drive channel of the 800. All my effect needs are met before the input jack.

If you are in need of an effects loop for recording purposes, consider the 800 over the 350.

I agree that 4OTF into the MG-350 is nice. It also sounds great going into the Mesa D-350, for that matter. The family that designs and plays together, etc.

The MG-350 is plenty-plenty of power for most players. It can power three 8 ohm cabs, so if you need more volume, add one or two more cabs. That will get you as loud as you should be playing in most circumstances, and is normally preferable to slightly more than doubling the output wattage (175 to 400) into a single 8 ohm cab, going to an MG-800, especially with a single 10-2!

This has already been discussed a lot in this thread, and I'll repeat that you would be quite happy with two 10-2 Series 2 cabs. It's a very compact setup, but probably the only thing you'd give up is a little bit of the lowest end. Chances are you wouldn't notice it at home, and you can always bump up the lows on the head, within reason. The Magellan heads have a high-pass filter built-in for speaker protection, and you can add an external HPF pedal for live use if you need further attenuation to crank way up.

I personally find that the 10-2 S2 produces more than enough low end live. It rolls off just enough to keep the lows under control.

On advice from Jeff I opted for the 12T-V over a pair of BA 10-2's. I like the single grab (can still mount my MG350 to it) and the 12 gives me a nice full sound. I also like that my head is a little higher off the ground so I don't have to bend over so far to make adjustments.

Sorry if this has already been asked before, but will a NC 210T sit on top of a BA 210-3 ok? Looking at the dims, there would appear to be an inch or two overhang on the NC.

Regarding your question, the NC-210T cab is narrow and shallower than the BA210-3 cabs, so it would sit on top of it easily, if that is the rig you'd like to consider.
The NC cabs are approx 15" deep and the BA cabs are 18" deep.
You should be fine.

I may jump on that! I’m finding that my NC112 and NC115 have a different vibe in the mids going on, and I find it hard to EQ them both at the same time when using them together.

I've decided on getting the Series 2 BA 10-2 cab to pair with my Magellan 350 for my home studio set-up. Seeing that the studio space is quite small (11'x12') the 10-2 would be plenty for my needs based on your inputs and I can always have the option of adding another 10-2 or 12-3 for jam sessions in the future. It also helps that the 10-2 would be easier to lug around! Also, the savings on the smaller 10-2 afforded me the excuse to get a 4 On The Floor which makes the decision easier!

I also have to say the Genzler community has got to be the best in terms of support and selfless sharing of knowledge/information and I'm really glad to be part of it.

Played a nice theater in Key West, FL last night. We have 3 more shows in this nice 80° weather. Only sad part is it’s all IEM and no amp. Missing my Genzler gear but it will be on stage with me for the majority of the year!! You all rock your Genzler’s for me!!
