Genzler Amplification Club

Hi.

I have a few questions to the club.

I found a 210 straight bass array available in the EU. It's one of my picks for a cab so that I can play together with my goth country band.

Is this thing easy to carry? The website lists it at 34lbs which comes to 15.4kg. That doesn't seem horrible?

Are there covers available for these? I would be lugging my cab on the busses and metro.

Thank you.

It's not a bad weight for that type of cabinet. I don't know that I would want to carry that much weight on the bus and/or Metro (subway) though. Maybe you could put some small dolly type wheels and extending bars on it, kind-of like luggage.

Offhand, the only two cabs that I can think of that will get you in that super-portable lightweight category would be the GR Aero stuff (not cheap) and maybe a MarkBass combo.

I’m thinking of getting a second set of bass array cabs. I have a 15-3 slt and a 12-3 slt, both version one. Do you guys think I should look for the same version to pair with my set? I doubt version one is still available new, though I haven’t checked directly. For those who have experience with both versions next to one another, is there a noticeable difference? Should I only worry about the 12-3 being the same version? Am I overthinking this?

Get version 2. They pair well and you will enjoy the additional high end clarity. Don't overthink it! :hyper:

Nice setup, Parzival! Congrats..

It's a tough choice these days between Mesa and Genzler products. Both are excellent choices, but different enough that you pretty much have to have owned both to know which is preferred.

True. The Mesa stuff is top notch, but the Genzler stuff just has a little more flavor to it that I am really liking.

Why would you post here first? We all have access to the classifieds…
Just me but I think it's a nice first view opportunity and courtesy to those that may be most interested. I just did this in a different forum and found a happy buyer that may not always spend time looking at, or subbed to, the classifieds. I removed that post immediately after to keep the clutter down for future readers. I personally don't find this sort of thing offensive at all.

A single sale heads up is allowed in club threads, commonly and historically.

It frequently occurs in club threads, and is usually met with welcome, and "GLWS" type sentiment : )

Yes and I’m totally cool with that. But this isn’t the same thing.

it isn’t posted in the classifieds and there are rules about posts in the classifieds- must be a supporting member (which he is) but also a commitment to ship within a certain time etc etc.

This isn’t a heads up - I’m selling this in the classifieds. This is I’m trying to sell it before putting in the classifieds.

it’s turned into more thread pollution than I wanted which was my issue in the first place so I won’t say anything else after this post. For sale items belong in the classifieds and a heads up it’s in the classifieds is cool. Trying to circumvent listing it there isn’t.

it’s not even a Genzler product - although related since it’s Genz Benz (I do have a neox cab so I appreciate Genz Benz as well) and I don’t believe an out of context, classified post belongs in the discussion forum.
