Genzler Amplification Club

I'm interested in the Magellan Pre and would like to try it for my IEM stage setup. As I would like to minimize my stage setup I plan to use just a single box for everything. I want to use the Magellan Pre as a preamp to send the bass via DI OUT to the FoH mixer. I also want to use AUX IN for the returning monitor signal from FoH (without bass), mix it with the Magellan Pre with the bass signal and send the mix to the headphone out. This requires that the DI OUT only contains the preamp signal and does not contain the AUX IN signal too. Is this feasable with the Magellan Pre ?

I believe so, I will need to check the block diagram in the morning.

@TheBass --- the Aux signal is not present in the DI signal on the MG-PRE-PEDAL. I hope this helps.

I believe you're in Europe? Thomann sells this pedal. It is very popular on their site.

Well, this is one of the reasons I really like the Genzler Array series of cabs. They are much closer to flat than other speakers I've tried. In fact, when my BA-15 showed up, I plugged in my Starfire through an MG350 and slowly brought the volume up and the sound changed very little, from the bass heard acoustically to quite loud. They are pricey, but still cheaper than Meyer or other crazy high end (and heavy) cabs. The only other speaker I've used that comes close is a MAS 210 Flex, but Mike doesn't make them any more and they were close to $2000 when he did. I've been using that until I got the Bass Array speakers. Now it sits in my rehearsal space.

It's always been my goal to have my rig be essentially like a small PA so I know that what I hear is what the FOH is getting. Mesa makes some great stuff, but their goals are different.
I have a Flex 110. Any comparisons with the BA-15 would be appreciated!

Thanks ! That helps indeed. Unfortunately too many pedals and amps route the AUX IN to the DI OUT. This does not make sense to me because AUX IN is used for anything else but the bass and should not be send back to FoH or recording device.

Yes, I am located in Germany. Thomann lists it for 349€.

It's the TallyHo Theater! Check it out, guys.. [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

I never did the counting on Joey's rig, but that is 6 10s and 10 3s! AND 800 watts!

I would seriously love to hear Foreigners Journey and Joey play, but they don't get down this way. Joey, you would love playing the Bijou Theatre in Knoxville! Maybe someday we can get you guys down this way if the band could book other gigs in east TN/west NC/north GA.

"NATION'S #1 TRIBUTE SHOW TO FOREIGNER & JOURNEY!

"The music and energy of two legendary stadium rock bands comes together in one electrifying show! Their repertoire of classics hits by Foreigner and Journey provide a crowd-pleasing night of unforgettable music. Get your wine coolers, mullets and stone washed jean vests ready for a night of sing along debauchery and dance grooves that will pop you from your seats. From heartwarming power ballads like "Faithfully," "I Want to Know What Love Is," to anthems like "Feels Like The First Time," "Don't Stop Believin'," "Cold As Ice" and "Any Way You Want It," Foreigners Journey are more than a tribute band. They're a time machine, and their energy is infectious!"
