How would a Kinetix pair with my MG112T-V cab? I have the MG350 cradled on it right now. I don't use an amp/cab very often at all so I don't know if I can justify the expense, but I love the sounds of the Kinetix. 800 watts into my little 112 is a lot. I know to be careful, but the sounds from the Kinetix are so nice.

I also just acquired a Khan tube DI to use on my DI/IEM board that would also warm up my MG350 I suppose.

Steve, the MG12T-V is a 8ohm cab so the Kinetix 800 would be down to 400 watts. The power handling is 350 so you would be fine. I am familiar with the Magellan cabs and can honestly say the Kinetix 800 would sound amazing thru that!!

Yeah, that's what I'm afraid of. I just got this Khan tube DI that is supposed to be amazing. My current band plays DI/IEM/Silent stage so I rarely use my sweet Genzler combo. I have debated bringing it for some "stage presence" (as it wouldn't compete with the FOH system at all) and using the DI from my MG350. The Khan would "warm" the 350 up I supposed. But I could also just use the DI on the Kinetix for some tube warmth and goodness.

I'm lazy though, and I already bring 2-3 basses, a Yamaha MODX6 synth, and my Nano pedalboard. I'd still ned a pedalboard for my Shure Wireless and Stomp which I use mostly for a couple effects these days.

Could sell the Khan and the MG350 (although I don't know that I want to sell it as it's a good amp as well) and use the proceeds on a Kinetix purchase I suppose. Hmm. Decisions, decisions.

Let us know how that combination worked out.
If you look at my settings on the Kinetix 800 you’ll see I use the boost position and the gain/volume around 10:00. I dipped the mids a tad to tame the drive in the 575Hz frequency area.

Sounds amazing with the BA410-3. Super nice lows and mids/highs shine with that tube edge with the boost!! Cuts like crazy!

Just picked up the Kinetix. My first Genzler product - it’s impressive, for sure.
How are y’all dialing in your Kinetix? Looking for some inspiration.
Simple….Activate Boost switch > Gain, Volume at 10:00 > Fat switch setting > EQ all at noon > smile
