I actually found the pic he posted (I had saved it off to my PC) and it's only two stacks with three cabs in each stack.

2 x MG800 + 6 x BA12-3!

I guess my memory is not all that after all!

So a real convenient feature of the Kinetix 800 is the Fat, Thick and Lean switch. Last night the stage was a little boomy as the subs were under the stage. I normally leave the amp in Fat mode but it was a bit much for this stage. I flipped the switch to Lean….perfect! The boom disappeared but the tone didn’t. No messing with EQ, just a simple flip of a switch.

Has anyone else have good results with this?

+1 I have a punchy 212 that needs the fat position to fill out the low end, but my DIY 15 cab has a bigger low end that is just right with the thick setting. That switch is an excellent feature for shaping the low end to fit your needs. I'd love to hear the Kinetix 800 with a BA2-410-3. I bet that rocks!

This is exactly why we chose to add the LEAN setting and why it took some time to get it nice, musical and usable.

Hey Joe,

How did you like those (Radian) Micro-wedges? They were really the first successful high level coax stage monitor to hit the touring market, a collaboration between Radian and Dave Rat.

They were pretty good. A little hi-mid focused. Had to dial some of that out. But they cut and were loud & clean. We used the same production company last weekend too. No issues with monitors! Sometimes in big theaters monitors can get lost. But, these didn’t at all!!

That high mid forward character comes from the music styles Dave’s historically worked with. When the drums get loud, it helps keep the wedges present.
