Genz Benz always had a stellar DI. And, Genzler continues to incorporate this in their lineup of amazing amps. It’s like having a Countryman built in!
I use it all the time and FOH engineer's love the clean signal!!
I am still blown away by the tone of the Kinetix 800. The 3 tubes adds some nice weight to notes and sits nicely with the drums on stage!
I wish more backline companies would invest in the Genzler lineup. Too many offer the same stuff with baked in tone that doesn’t appeal to my ears.

I got take the Magellan 800 and GB Uber Bass 2x12 out last weekend for its first live performance. I've spent a lot of time getting used to the controls at home so I had a general idea of how i would run things. Surprisingly I ran the drive channel the entire night, just adusting the amount of gain depending on the song. This was a sub gig with a local indie rock type band. They were really cool about letting me try some different sounds. I even kicked on the C4 Synth at one point!
I absolutely love this amp and cab combination. This was an outdoor show. They had me very slightly in the PA alobg with drums and vocals, but I'm confident that I could've carried it without. The guitars were running an AC15 and a Deluxe Reverb. It was a fairly small area behind a brewery, right on the river. Very cool spot.
Im still drooling over the Genzler cabs, but Im so thrilled with the current setup, that its hard to justify changing at the moment. Thanks Jeff, Andy and anyone else involved in making this excellent gear!

Awesome! I'd love to try the Kinetix sometime, but its hard to imagine loving it more than the Magellan. The Sadowsky MetroExpress 5 with a new set of Dunlop Super-Brights was just singing!
My son is in a punk band and they played a set outside at a big festival in the park. It was completely open air with no backstop. They were loud! Each of the two guitarists (my son is one of them) had a Marshall half stack and the bass player was using an Ampeg 810. The little amp on top of his cabinet looked familiar so I checked it out after the set.
Sure enough it was a Genzler MG350 and it easily kept up with the guitarists and the rest of the band. I took a picture of the settings he used, and while I own and use an MG350 myself, I'm still blown away with how much power this amp puts out.

speaking of 810s, I have never seen a Genz-Benz Uber 810, but I think you made some, right Jeff? probably all in sound studios around the world.

Yes we did. Not many but they're out there. Made some 610 cabs in the day as well.
I think that's a good way of putting it Jeff. We rely on your gear because we know we CAN rely on your gear.
It's that kind of confidence that's nice to have.
My new BA-10-2 combo, along with my '97 G&L L-2500 that I finally fixed after years in its case.
I had been keeping up with quiet jazz combo gigs using my Rumble 25 but I got nervous at home one day when I realized that there's not a real difference between, say, 4 and 10 on the volume knob. I hadn't had any headroom on tap.
So I got this combo for rehearsals and the current types of gigs I'm doing, and the extension BA12-3-SLT for unforeseen loud/rock gigs.
I hadn't known what I was missing. I was compelled to uncase all of my basses to hear what they really sound like, hence the G&L here.

Great combo you have there! I really need to get my L-2500 sorted out. The volume pot is quite scratchy. I loved how it sounded through my GB setup. I'm sure it'll sound fantastic!

L2500 is a great bass. I’ve had a couple.
Played at church last Sunday and had my new 4 on the floor pedal on my board. Really gave my tone some texture/girth. I also play in a two man band with a Magellan 350 112 Nu Classic combo. I love the way the 350 sounds and the versatility it has, my question for @agedhorse or @Jeff Genzler : Since I go straight to the board at church I purchased your Magellan DI so I can have that same versatility and tone. Would going from that DI to the 350 pose a problem(wouldn’t think so)? And would I then set one of the sets of knobs at noon? Or would it just open up the flavor pallet even more?
Side note: last time I played out with the Magellan and 112 we were at a small church and the guitarist was unplugged. Even though I was turned down, I still had all of the sound I was looking for. Love your gear!

No problem, but I would recommend using the Aux input on the amp so that you don’t double up on the similar preamp voicings.
And that is why I asked the question!! Thank you!!!!! Been playing for 15 or so years but still not much of a gear head. Took me 10 years to start getting a pedal board together and the rest finding what I like. Thanks again!! Never have I experienced customer service this good!

I have a 4 On The Floor on the way right now. It's the last piece of gear im buying...I swear!
The 4 On The Floor replaced three of my pedals. A tech 21 and two MXRs.
Have gently used BA112 SLT up for trade in classifieds if any interest out there
