Sorry, I was answering Hawk620’s comment and didn’t realize that you already owned an 8 ohm 410.

I would recommend trading for a 4 ohm 410 if you can, 350 watts into a 410 can be a potent, convincing solution.

Question for the group- I’m getting back into bass again and will have a couple of gigs this season. My old SVT 3 blew up years ago so I don’t have an amp, just an 8 ohm Eden 4x10 that weighs….a lot. It’s in good shape though and not worth much used these days so it is what it is.

Pretty set on Genzler as a brand. Already have a Gollihur AA for my upright and mt wife’s cello. it’s fantastic.

I’m really out of touch when it comes to wattage and class D amps though. Tempted by the Magellan 350 combo despite having the Eden around. Also tempted by the 350 as a head but I don’t know if it would make enough power into the 8 ohm Eden. Would I be better served by the 800? Or take the money I’m tempted to spend on the combo and consider the kinetix and a hand truck for the Eden lol

Gigs include a drummer and 2 guitars but no one is super loud. We’re too old for that now and frankly so are the patrons. All guitar amps are 20-30 watt combos. My bass is a Stingray 5 HH

I think you'd be surprised how much volume the MG350-BA10-2-S2 combo can put out (if not enough volume, you could add a 2nd BA10-2 cabinet).

There is also the MG350-MG12TV combo to consider.

Soon to add a bass array 2 x 10.....because I'm greedy Muhahaha.
I'm not sure what to expect when I add the 2 x 10 cab but I'm looking forward to it.

Anyone running the MG800 with a 4 x 10 bass array cab and a 2 x 10 as well??
What's the verdict or what can I expect sound and volume wise.

Are you set on keeping that cab to play through or are you open to replacing it?

One addition to an MG 350 head I can endorse is the 4 On The Floor pedal. While it won't replace the tube front end of a Kinetix it is a worthwhile sub for the Drive Channel of the MG 800 but with added high and low pass filters and 4 options for basic voicings and drive levels. Just another option to consider.

4 on the floor OD is my go to for a nice bite on heavier stuff. The most capable OD I’ve found!

Firstly I have to say thanks to everyone for the fantastic input here, I appreciate it immensely. Next a BIG thank you to @Jeff Genzler for taking the time to call me and offer his advice. After our conversation I ordered a Magellan 800 amp and Magellan 1x12 Cab. The biggest gig I'll have, frankly, is at our school. So a gym, roughly 1,000 people give or take. We weren't certain the 350 would make it. The Eden lives at school so if I need to I can haul the damned thing up and have 1x12 + 4x10 at a full 800 watts and THAT will certainly be plenty. From there, the MG800 and the MG12T-V make for a powerful, portable rig that will also work well with upright. So if my wife and I take any smaller gigs together we won't need to share the Acoustic Array.

Awesome! Glad you went with the 800, It's always good to have extra headroom and the Magellan 800 can handle any gig ya throw at it.

I’m looking to get into recording a bit and not quite sure what the best approach would be for micing my bass array 410. I’m looking to add this as an option as opposed to just taking a DI for everything, which can sound a bit sterile sometimes.

Nate Navarro has done several Genzler videos and I seem to remember him always using multiple mics, at least one for woofers and one for the highs.

I’m getting Shure Beta 56A and Shure Beta 181 from an image search on the mics, does that sound right?

Edit: uhh that was not correct at all, not even close. Trying to narrow it down manually now.
