Genzler Amplification Club

So I played a Kinetix 800 with a Bass Array 410 the other day. It's the first time I felt gas for amplification in fifteen years. If money was no object, that setup would be in my office!
That being said, there's no way I can afford that rig. But I am curious about maybe saving up for the cab and using it with my current head, a Fender TB-600. It has a multi-tube preamp with an overdrive section like the Kinetix, but only (!) pushes 600 watts @ 4 ohms. Would a 1000 watt cab play well together with my amp? I used to have an Orange 410 that was my favorite cab ever sound wise, but I found 98 reasons to sell it. The weight of the Genzler is gas inducing, let alone the sound.
I'm curious, is anyone out there running lead sleds from other brands with Bass Array cabs? If so, please share your experiences!

Had a great time Saturday night…..always amazes me how dynamic this setup can be. You play softly and move over the front pickup and you can get the pillowy and big but still clear sound. You dig in and you get all the punch, attack and sparkle you can handle. Love it!

Yeah….I typically run the EQ at noon and go anywhere between 9:00 - 10:00 on the contour depending on what bass I’m using and what room I’m in. Hasn’t let me down yet!Love it! Everything at noon and 10:00 with Contour. That’s the shhhhstuff

That’s how I ran my MG350/112T-V combo last night for a jazz/soul/funk quartet at a local restaurant. Roscoe Century 5. Ran a Khan DI in front for a touch of tube goodness.

The track is called “Ready or Not” it’s about a kid that dreams of being a rock star and climbing the hurtles trying to live his dream. All music was written, performed, mixed & mastered by me. My buddy Nat did the killer guitar solo!

Question for the group- I’m getting back into bass again and will have a couple of gigs this season. My old SVT 3 blew up years ago so I don’t have an amp, just an 8 ohm Eden 4x10 that weighs….a lot. It’s in good shape though and not worth much used these days so it is what it is.
Pretty set on Genzler as a brand. Already have a Gollihur AA for my upright and mt wife’s cello. it’s fantastic.
I’m really out of touch when it comes to wattage and class D amps though. Tempted by the Magellan 350 combo despite having the Eden around. Also tempted by the 350 as a head but I don’t know if it would make enough power into the 8 ohm Eden. Would I be better served by the 800? Or take the money I’m tempted to spend on the combo and consider the kinetix and a hand truck for the Eden lol
Gigs include a drummer and 2 guitars but no one is super loud. We’re too old for that now and frankly so are the patrons. All guitar amps are 20-30 watt combos. My bass is a Stingray 5 HH

I've been really happy with the Magellan 350. It gets loud enough for most gigs while also sounding great a low living room volume, and it has great tone shaping options. I have the head, so I can't speak for the combo, but I'm sure it's solid.
Personally, I like running the 350 through a 210. Again, it's enough for most gigs while still sounding great at home, and the 210 is a lot easier to haul around. Those Eden 410s are great, but it might be worth exploring some of the lighter 210 options out there now.
easy enough to make the combo out of the 210, although it's pricier. It's just a mounting bracket that piggybacks the amp on the cab. Thanks for the input!
If the band isn't all that loud my guess is that the MG350 @ 175w through a 4x10 cab will be enough. For years I played a 175w SS head through a single 15" EV and it was always enough. But that doesn't resolve any issues you have with the weight of that Eden cab. I played a Hartke 4.5xl for awhile so I know how heavy older cabs can be.
My back problems forced me to to go even lighter than the 50lb Epifani 2x12 I had and go with the Genzler MG350 Combo and a second BA110-2 S2 cab. So I'm getting it's full 350w and I can't imagine any gigs I do any longer where that would not be enough. That MG350 is a bold little amp and the absolute easiest to dial in I have ever played.
The contour control does much of the work for you. Find it's sweet spot for the bass and material you play and use the EQ simply to fine tune that to the room. The EQ section is so well designed that a little tweaking goes a long way. Regardless of whatever decision you make regarding a cab I don't believe you'll be disappointed in any of the Genzler heads.

The Mag 350 will do the job thru any cab. Even an ancient 410.
The Kinetix 800 thru a 410 is ballsier, especially with the Stingray. But you have to decide what kinda tone you are after.

I don't have any experience with the 350, went with the 800 for head room at it's way louder than necessary so with the 410 I bet you'll be fine! the 800 into just 1 212 cab is crazy loud.

Why would the 410 have to be 8 ohms? There are plenty of very capable 4 ohm 410’s out there.
My current cab is a 4x10 at 8. An older Eden. 98 pounds
