I have noticed that the sound via the Kinetix headphone output is richer and more detailed than via DI-Out (or effect-out) in Quad Cortex or in Yamaha Mixer and listened to there with headphones.
Is this due to the input stages or headphone outputs in the QC or Yamaha mixing console, or is there an explanation in the technology of the Kinetix?
Agreed, the Kinetix headphone out sounds excellent.

@Cholo --- thank you for using our Kinetix 800. Regarding your observation, the Headphone output is Post EQ and thus you're getting all of the tonal changes of the EQ preamp settings, etc and if you use the DI Output as Post EQ, it should be very similar. And the DI as PRE EQ will certainly be much flatter and less "rich" so that the FOH engineer would have much more control of the full tone of the instrument --- within the overall mix of the group.
If you're hearing any differences between the headphone and POST DI Output it may be due to some impedance miss matching with the gear your using to interface those 2 signals from.
Hope this is helpful.

Thank you for your feedback. That puts me on the right track.
I would like to emphasize that I appreciate the Kinetix, and the headphone output provides an even better sound experience than via DI/mixer. I would now like to convey this to the FOH in some way.

Just to be clear, have you tried the DI set to Post EQ? And if so, did this still sound different than the headphone output?

I have been on a lot of fly dates recently with backline of various brands. But, tonight is the 1st night of 3 in a row using my Genzler rig. YES!

Has anyone else experienced withdrawals from not using your Genzler rig for a while?

Thankfully mine ends tonight! See you in WV, NJ & DE…pics to follow!!

Im going have to stick a towel under the head. Low D makes it vibrate forward. Low E makes it vibrate backwards. The kids are insisting I hammer D to E continuously. My 4 year old said "The amp looks like it's dancing!"

The tube channel on the Shuttlemax dimed just sounds like a million bucks. Now im wondering how the Kinetix would sound 🤔
Get a roll of black Gorilla shelf liner. One small sheet placed under the head will absolutely prevent it from walking. Great stuff.

I’m experiencing it right now. We’ve been playing a lot of opening slots either in direct support or as part of festivals and there has been little room and no time to run the full rig.

Tomorrow is my first opportunity in about a month and I’m gonna be smiling the entire night!

Something doesn’t look right…

I had a Shuttle 9.0 and shuttle 12 cab a long time ago and really liked that combo. The built in kick stand is awesome. So I’ve kept an eye out for another.

Just today, I got a great deal on a local shuttle 6.0/12 combo, and I have the MG350 already, so I'm going to compare the two heads and see which I like better in this format. I haven’t needed a big cab in a long time, so I just sold my MG212T to a buddy who has been looking to go lighter than the 610 he usually uses.

Funny enough, the MG350 slides in and stays with the Shuttle bracket. I have the MG350 bracket so if I go with that one, I can swap them out or just add something to keep the head more secure like this.

@Jeff Genzler and @agedhorse , just curious if there are replacement speakers still available for the shuttle 12 or if there is an off the shelf replacement available? This one sounds great but I always feel better knowing there’s a repair option if it goes.
I will have to look.
