At the least, I can confirm there are no plans for an NC-215 cab at this time. If you enjoy classic 15" performance, I'm sure you'll like the NC-115T cabs.Anyone running two NC-115’s? I have the 212 that I love, but still dream of 2 15’s.
Actually, a NC-215 would be really cool! Any plans for one of those?
Hey everyone. I've always wanted a full range solution in a bass cab but I'm simultaneously very cheap. So, these were on my radar but I've been hesitant to get one. Well, I found a great deal on the 1x12 and drove 60 miles out of LA to pick it up. Got it home and even at super low volume I'm impressed. Can't wait to get it in the room with a drummer but I am a little concerned I'll need to add an extra piece, probably the 2x10.
I have been running a Little Marcus 800 amp for a few years but I've never loved the 5 band EQ on it. I used to have an AMP BH420 with the semi parametric mids. I really like being able to fine tune those freq. I'd like to finally match my cab to my amp too.
Could I feel secure in terms of reliability/serviceability with an older Genz Benz shuttle? Which current genzler amp would be good for me if I'm planning on adding the 2nd cab? I thought I might just pick up the Magellan 350 to dip my toes in. I never had to push my 800 past noon to keep up with my drummer.
Anyway here's the pic of the of this fabulous cab that I picked up for almost $300 less than the cheapest one I could find anywhere else. I'll take a number to join the family.
@jmattis -- thanks for the trip down memory lane. Those 1x12s were great cabs for their time. I bet that was a nice rig. Thanks for jumping into our new gear with the Kinetix 800.To show I'm no new user to the Genz family stuff, here I am way back in 1997 playing through a pair of Genz Benz 1x12 cabs (with my old Trace head). I loved that rig!

Wow!Have set this up in my home ‘office’ whilst renovations happen where the basses normally live. Realised that quite a lot of it was acquired via tb and felt urged to share…and also that I’m officially lusting for a kinetix 800 and two new guitar stands.
The Blue Toothbrush! One hell of a pickup in one of the ugliest basses I’ve ever seen. I love it.Wow!
A Lane Poor Minima!
Rare sighting indeed!
I don’t know if you know/like cars but I lay out a comparison that makes sense to me here and then follow-up a few posts later with more info. Maybe it will help.High level can someone speak to the differences between Nu Classic cabs and the various Genzler array cabs?
I was considering going with Markbass for my first head/cab combo, but it seems like I can find good deals on used Genzler gear in my area. I see the Nu Classic cabs are much cheaper than the array cabs. Still doing my research, but the clips I've heard of Genzler gear have been amazing.
Also, dumb question, would you be more hesitant to buy a used cabinet or a used head? My gut is saying cabinets probably show the impact of abuse easier.
I don't know much about cars, but I think your point is coming across with the image you painted. Thank you!I don’t know if you know/like cars but I lay out a comparison that makes sense to me here and then follow-up a few posts later with more info. Maybe it will help.
