At the least, I can confirm there are no plans for an NC-215 cab at this time. If you enjoy classic 15" performance, I'm sure you'll like the NC-115T cabs.

I thought I might just pick up the Magellan 350 to dip my toes in. I never had to push my 800 past noon to keep up with my drummer.

Anyway here's the pic of the of this fabulous cab that I picked up for almost $300 less than the cheapest one I could find anywhere else. I'll take a number to join the family.

My opinion would be to pick up a used Magellan 350. It does it all, especially with the selectable ohm switch. I'd personally pair another 1x12" over the 2x10". I've always paired cabs as close in dispersion as possible when mixing speakers sizes: 2x10"+1x15" or 4x10"+1x18". When it comes to 12"s and 8"s, I pair them together. I'm currently running an MG350 through two, 2x8" cabs and it's outstanding. 🤘

I just received a Kinetix 800 that I found on Reverb for the best price I had seen on one ($900). I've only played a few minutes through it at home, but this thing is awesome! And the DI is fantastic. My home practice setup is a Trace V-type preamp into my audio interface, but I may have to switch over to using the Kinetix's DI. It definitely has a fatter, tube-ier tune. It sounds so good. Well done, Genzler team!

I have a MG350 paired with a NC212. It is a perfect match especially since the cab is 4ohms. It allows me to get more head room out of the MG350. I've never needed anywhere near even 1/2 turn on the master volume with the input volume at about 9-10 o'clock position. I like the tone I'm getting with a bump on the mids at approx 2k, with the tweeter off. It adds just a little more of a sort of articulation in the right spot for me.

@jmattis -- thanks for the trip down memory lane. Those 1x12s were great cabs for their time. I bet that was a nice rig. Thanks for jumping into our new gear with the Kinetix 800.

High level can someone speak to the differences between Nu Classic cabs and the various Genzler array cabs?

I was considering going with Markbass for my first head/cab combo, but it seems like I can find good deals on used Genzler gear in my area. I see the Nu Classic cabs are much cheaper than the array cabs. Still doing my research, but the clips I've heard of Genzler gear have been amazing.

Also, dumb question, would you be more hesitant to buy a used cabinet or a used head? My gut is saying cabinets probably show the impact of abuse easier.

I don’t know if you know/like cars but I lay out a comparison that makes sense to me here and then follow-up a few posts later with more info. Maybe it will help.
