A while back someone posted an eq graph of the 112 which looked right on point across the spectrum. I'm using 5 string basses and routinely run an octaver in my band's music so low end extension is a significant factor. I know a lot of people are mixing and matching cabs nowadays so any personal experience is greatly appreciated, and I'm sure @Jeff Genzler will chime in when he's able to.

And footswitchable DRIVE and CONTOUR functions. You can now switch between Curve A and B, front panel or optional 2 button FTSW.

@Hamrlik --- Sorry to have missed your previous post. I think the choice of cabinet is pretty much personal taste and if you want a single cab solution or seperates. Yes, the BA2-212-3 would be an ideal cab for what you descibe for your needs. Nate Navarro who does a lot of our cab testing and demo videos, loves this cab. Does it all for him. Our BA2-410-3 would also get that done if you'd like more punch in your cabinet. They also have great LF extension.
For portability I would lean towards 2 of the BA2-112-3 cabs but the BA2-212-3 cab will deliver more omph and great mid clarity as well.

I love that my favorite brand keeps moving up! That said….after seeing what the 800+ is/can do…..I would still be more of a Kinetix candidate than 800+. I usually run my 800 flat with a little contour. Don’t find myself using the drive all that much anymore nor the B contour. After getting to play through the Kinetix I was hooked.

Just watched Nate's excellent demo. The Magellan 800+ has all the features that I wished the 800 had - very thoughtful and well designed upgrade!
The Magellan 800+ and Kinetix 800 are different choices. I'm sure the 800+ is going to be a hot seller that checks the boxes for a lot of players, but my Kinetix does what it does so well it's not going anywhere.
