Genzler Amplification Club

Twins! (That’s the same rig I have!)
And I'm in as a third.

Can confirm
How is it carrying those 10-2 cabs with the handle on the edge and not the middle? Do they swing and hit your thigh? or are they so light and small it's not an issue?

I went from thinking about a Kinetic, to an ultra light 210, to now potentially getting a 350 combo and pairing it with another 10 down the road. For what I do I would imagine two 10-2s would carry me fine.

Now my concern is the carry.

Of course, I'm also thinking of getting an ultra light 12? I love my Audiokinesis cabs but stacking them doesn't give me quite the results I want because of the mismatch. Having two matched 12s or two matched 10s would be ideal. Also my back is completely messed up so weight is a huge concern.

I’ve never noticed an issue with carrying the cab. It’s so light it’s easy to hold it away from yourself.

Very easy to carry due to only weighing 19lbs. Even with the head attached at 23lbs it's an easy carry and an MG350 Combo with a second BA10-2 S2 cab makes for a very nice small but powerful rig. You'd also have more flexibility than a single 210 cab for the times when just the combo is all that's needed.

For the record, as happy as I am with my current gigging rig, if I were to start over again with respect to a traditional amp and cab, I would go Genzler Kinetix and ULV cabinet all the way. Well done, Jeff Genzler + Co.!
Absolutely. If I ever needed more than my MG350-12T/V combo, I’d go Kinetix and ULV cab. Maybe a 210. Maybe a couple 12’s for options.

Last night was one of the rare shows we do where we play with another band on the bill. After the first band shut down the bass player started packing up and had a little Fender Rumble 500 combo. I heard a little bit of their set and this place runs a full PA so not sure what the bass sound was like on stage. I was making small talk while doing the setup dance and I asked him how he liked it. He said he didn't use it as it just didn't sound good so he just DI'd and used the wedges. He was a super nice guy and proceeded to tell me about his main Markbass rig and how he wish he'd had it. I think he was filling in for the band he was in and he was unable to get his stuff. He cleared out and I went and grabbed my stuff as we were short on time and had to get going. After I got set up I did my quick line check and got ready to go. All the sudden I see our guy come back in and head over towards me. Now, I don't usually have a chance at most gigs to talk gear but this guy was one of those dudes who liked talking shop. He eyed the Genzler gear and just cracked a smile, came over and told me that some local Austin bass monster he knows uses Genzler and asked me what I thought. I told him about using Genzler for several years now and not wanting for anything else. He was like "yeah....going to any other gear out there would be a step back!" It gave me a good chuckle as he was pretty animated about it. Things sounded great from where I was standing, that's for sure! Anyhow....thought I'd share what we all know!

I’ve decided to go in the direction of buying 2 10-2 arrays. Purchased a used series 2 from GC today with the intent of picking up another (probably new) in a couple months.
Excited.
Are you planning on a Genzler head as well? The entire ecosystem is exceptional.
I had both the Magellan 800 & 350 for a while. To my ears, they sounded identical and the 350 was more than loud enough but you do lose the dirty channel and as I remember it, the I/O is a little less. I sold the 350 and have the 800 with no plans to change it out. For speakers I have first generation BA12-3ST & BA12-3SL plus a 2nd generation BA10-2. For a while I had a 1st gen BA10-2 also. They all play exceptionally well together. 2/3’s of my gigs are outdoors and I usually use all 3 of my current cabs, more for coverage than volume.

I’ve been using an 800 Magellan since the time they came out. Absolutely love it.
I’ve wanted to pair it with some genzler cabs for a long time.
Before Genzler I had 3 Genz Benz heads. Shuttle, ShuttleMax and streamliner.

I've got 3 x 10-2's that I use in some combination w/ either Magellan 350, Kinetix, WD-800, or 800D and they all slam. I am however, whittling the herd of amps to only what is necessary these days after letting GAS get the better of me.

I had a pair of Genz Benz 10's and a little Shuttle and it was killer. Took the Genzler MG350/112T-V combo to replace it.
If I were buying now, I'd be very inclined to get a Kinetix for sure. Cab choices would be a little more difficult. So many good options.
