The nomenclature can be a bit confusing.

I remember and refer to the Genzler array cabinets as 110 array, 112 array, and 210 array. Easy to understand, recall, and communicate. .

Does anyone know of a quality cover available for the 10-2 array cab? The one offered by Genzler has extra space to accommodate the 350 head/combo version, but I'm looking for a padded cover for the cab alone........too lazy to measure up myself and hoping one of the reputable cover makers is already on this....

Studioslips has very nice covers (and you can use "goodcust" as a coupon for 10% off). They do already list Bass Array12-3, but not Bass Array 10-2.

Even if you were to order an existing model, they still send you a link with all the dimensions, and ask that you confirm those dimensions before they start.

I've bought 3 slip covers (brown, double padded). They have brown and black, double and single padding... do all the cutting for orders from one material, then next material etc. So delivery is kinda based on how long it takes them to process the material you want.

For my HDN112 cab, someone contacted me to say that they had a variation for the slip cover (depending if I wanted the opening to be opposite the handle or not... since the cab has two sets of feet). So actually, based on his call, I determined I wanted that variation. Also, since they had dimensions for me to confirm, I noticed that their feet height seemed to be off. As if the primary version and variation had swapped the foot heights (since two pairs of feet were different heights). So we got that straight before they started. Fit's really nice.

Anyway, I'm really happy with the double padded brown and one of our cats likes to sleep on it (covered with a towel). Susan is super helpful, I called her twice with questions.

Been torn between a 212T, or two array 12-3's. Anyone have an tonal comparison ideas? I like a nice fat bottom end that really hits your chest. I like to play a P bass with light overdrive from my Darkglass M900.

I love it when you play with a new group and you show up with your rig and the Band Leader and Sound Man get scared.
They see the cab come out of the car then Sound Man yells across the parking lot, "You do not need that, we will be hooking you up direct to the board." I yell back, "Ok, but I am not leaving it in the car." and in I go.
It is only a Genz NX2 2x12 with the Magellan bag on my back. One trip load in.

Knowing the pa and monitors in this place is two JBL Eons 1X12s, one on each side and that is it for a full band with keys in a 400-500 seat auditorium, not sure, did not count and two unknown 1x12s on stands for stage monitors. This is why I brought the cab. Once in and happily talking with Mr. Sound Man I say, "Just going to hook it up very very low for monitoring, you can tell me to turn it down if you feel it." Mr. Sound Man, "Ok." and do sound check with speakers off through the Magellan di, post, flat with drive and contour B of course. Then turn up the cab a bit and we play. Sound Man and Band leader are moving around the room checking the mix, as they are near the front they say, "That bass sounds fantastic, turn it up." the band also agreed, "Yes, turn it up". That is how Mr. Genzler's rig carried the room.

I had a similar experience 2 weeks ago! Showed up and the guy says, "Just use the house rig." Over and over. It's a GK rig that's fine, but it's not my sound. So he finally says that I can use my rig if I must. So I bring it in and set it up. The tube head and the Genzler 2x12T and proceed to blow everyone away. After we were done, the guy came running up to me and says that he understands now why I wanted to use my rig. That my bass sounded absolutely amazing! Part Germino, part Genzler. You can hear the show, tone, and crowd reaction here:

I too was torn because they both sound so good. For my tone, the 212t was too low mid heavy (but super punchy and slams you in the chest). I loved the highs though, so the array and the 112t together are perfect for me they balance pretty nice for me (and joe bonamassa seemed to like it too, along with all my bandmates). What you're describing though, I think the 212t is what you're looking for.

I have tried all combinations and the MG212T with a single array cab is nice. I chose a pair of the BA112-3 for myself as I really like increased side dispersion and smooth mid/high transition. If you like a bit higher frequency response tweeter, then the MG 112 or 212T has that.

Here is a pic of me using my MG800 amp at a gig last night. I used a beater 12" cab instead of my arrays due to the small size of the bar. I have also used the baby Genzler rig here and it worked well. One guitar player showed up without a strap and the other was just lazy - bass players do all the work. And the dummies still let me sing several songs.

I only played the two types of cabs side by side in the music store. But i did buy teh MG212T cab...
I play more Pop, , rnB, country, blues, almost everything but metal... At times i need a little overdrive.. And the MG212T does it well if i turn off the tweeter... The 12s go high enough to really sing and have enough top ...
But 90% of my time on the MG212T is running a clean amp.. I recently ran my old 1st generation SVT2 non-Pro into the MG212 for a few gigs .. That is a match made in heaven..

Nice, listening to it while a cloud security vendor is making my software engineers flinch in embarrassment.

I ran an acoustic guitar through one of my BA12-3's and it worked really well.
The Bass Array's (big) sound multiplies when stacked with 2 and even more with 3. I am curious, did you audition one BA12-3 or 2 stacked? The MG212 has the big deep low and smooth highs (I think your description of "upper mids" may be what I am referring to) and I thought you would like it more from your description of what you liked.
