Have not, but I just looked it up. Looks like an interesting bit of cinema.
Darlene Love tells a story where she was cleaning a rich lady’s bathroom and listening to the radio when she heard her song Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) on the radio. The song was released in November 1963. It was a fluke that she got the gig. She was singing background and Ronny Spector couldn’t get the energy that Phil wanted. He asked Darlene to step up.
Sonny Bono worked for Phil Spector, he played percussion on the track. His girl friend, Cherilyn Sarkisian (aka Cher) was one of the backup singers. Phil also used her as backup singer on songs including including the Ronettes, Be My Baby and The Righteous Brothers, You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin.

Well, there's a topic I know something about....macaws can be total babies. And never mind the claws...the beak can pt out 1000 psi.

Morning, all. It is my husband's 65th birthday today, so we are having yet another pool party/jam at our home to celebrate this many trips around the sun. I'm having trouble getting my butt out of bed today but I need to get moving soon as I have a couple of client visits to make and then I have to do some shopping for a cake and a few other things. Looking forward to a fun day with some musical stuff.
There will, of course, be several drummers here, but I think the drummer count will be less than the seven we had here last time. Here is a picture of two drummers not drumming yesterday, but instead getting the yard ready for today.
Around these parts, drummers don't always drum, but when they do, it's good! When they chip wood, it's also good.

Your husband's is 2 days after mine but he's got 8 years and 363 days to catch up to me(74).
On another note, my daughter and I went to a minor league baseball game last night, up near Orlando where she lives. I'm back home for tonight's gig at a VFW(6:30-9:30-gotta love the hours), then tomorrow afternoon's open mic/jam outdoors in 95* heat/humidity.
Belated roll call again. Wife and I fell asleep last night very early. We didn't sleep well night before. Please report in all appendages accounted for and more or less in livable condition. 
We're going through our shed and rooms in our small place to make room for winter. In little Sitka we are mostly home bound due to weather during the winter. But the crisp cool in the air feels wonderful. Sure beats that humid heat!

All my appendages will be attending a birthday party for my wife's great-grandnephew...my how time flies.
We slept in too. Last night about 8 friends and us were gifted some Hollywood Bowl tickets for Violent Femmes and Pink Martini. Odd combo but interesting music. Great sound system. We were up in the cheap seats...I watched a lot of the concert on the side monitors.
Everyone brought a cornucopia of food so we shared and also imbibed some great wine. A good time was had by all!

First of all , happy belated birthday to the drummer dude. Next on the agenda , present and accounted for and all parts still seem to be working. Lastly , I have the next couple of weekends off musically , then five gigs booked in September. Should be a breeze after the six gigs we had in one week a couple of weeks ago. I'm gettin' too old for that kind of crap. Yeah...... right.
Oh yeah , update on Seahags bike slide into Wyoming. One saddle bag is pretty much toast and the other one has a huge scratch on it. Those bags are currently out of production so we'll be looking for a used one (hopefully) or else a new set of bags. Probably around 4 to 5 hundred for the set. Windshield is pretty much shot. Around $250 to replace that. (It's on order.) She also bent up the headlight assembly. It still works fine , just doesn't look too good. At $1200 for a total replacement , she said she can live with it. Sheesh , I remember back in the 70's , I built a complete Harley chopper for less than that headlight assembly.

THE GOOD: Beautiful day today, blue sky, low humidity, comfortable temperature. The markets are bountiful. The fresh green peppers are as good as they get. Good on pizza. You live all year for these days.
THE BAD: Students are moving back into the neighborhood for school. Expect a disruptive night with them drunk and screaming all night on the streets.
THE UGLY: Their parents inflict them on the community. They are apparently more stressed, depressed, and lonely than any previous generation. Or so they like to claim, after all, life is all about them. The schools are adopting a “new” approach that nurtures a culture of wellness. They are bending over backwards to create safe stress free spaces for these delicate children.
GIVE ME A BREAK!!!!
