Well you had to fit the boat in.
I couldn't even get the old band to do this song well; they had a lot of trouble with the anticipated hits. Imagine this song with a very straight feel.

Pretty hip. Twenty clams that wasn't my bassline when our band played that song.
Really like Gary Moore, great song. He's an awesome blues player too.

This is/was the band that the owner of Wildwood Guitars in Colorado is/was in (I don't know if the band is still around).
Ever been on one of those? I haven't, but I do have a few photos of one leaving the Golden Gate, and out to sea.
Here are a couple from that series.

Oh lordy, people that can't syncopate are the death of me.
I had to 86 a great bluegrass song from a band because they wanted to smooth out the syncopated turnarounds, which were the only parts of the song that made it interesting for me.
We do it in Bb. I 'walk' it most o' the way. I also do the whistle. Actually a train whistle, but it does the job.
Both our guitarists are jazz guys(and drummer and I have have jazz backgrounds), synchopating's no problem

Yeah, a lot of that seems like it would be sort of arbitrary. You could walk through much of it, he's playing mostly either 1-5 or doubling the melody. I didn't watch the whole thing, so maybe it went different later.
We do a lot of 60s stuff where the original was 1-5. I usually 1-3-5 it 'cos oom-pah bores me.
Isn't it the law that bands in Florida have to do Sea Cruise?
...and visitors have to wear sandles with knee socks.
