Get off my LAWN! "Grumpy Old Farts"

Yeah. 'Course with it being 4+/- days out, there's no telling exactly what it's gonna do. I'm kinda prepared to be prepared. Panels will go up tomorrow/Saturday; got stuff to hunker down with-food/drink, etc. I've been through a few so I'm aware of what to expect. The forecasting isn't an exact science pretty much right up to the time it crosses the coast. No hurricane party, just me and the cat. Oh. Also no outdoor jam Sunday and our Labor Day outdoor gig is 86'ed.
I know you'll do whatever you can to stay safe; just wanted to send you good wishes to weather the storm. Hope it blows over and amounts to nothing, as they so often do, but better safe than sorry.

from ABC News, "If Hurricane Dorian does make landfall over Labor Day weekend, it could be one of the strongest hurricanes to ever do so in the U.S. According to NOAA, if Dorian hits Florida as a Category 4 storm it would be one of the top 25 most intense storms to make landfall." Your gig was cancelled, board the house up, grab the cat and get out of there.

Take care of yourself and your cat.

Thanks. I've been through a few since '49, so I'm aware of its potential.

We get some in our back yard, occasionally and almost every day in winter.

The one in that photo looks angry, or perhaps, confused; what did you do or say to it, Mr. Beans?

The bird was distracted by what was in the ground. It totally ignored me. This was on a path that I’m on every day. Never saw one before.

There’s a large graveyard/wooded area across the road which is a birders paradise. I was visiting some friends there yesterday. Maybe that’s were the woodpecker came from.

Rule #6...Thou shalt not make light of tie dye...

Everyone needs a li’l more tie dye in their lives. ;)

There's tie dye and there's Spencer Gifts tie dye.

In my day I was barely visible, just like now. Maybe it's a good day for one of my choice tie dyes, a Shakedown Street purchase from Frost Amphitheater at Stanford. Except it's only 12 C this morning, been feeling autumn even as Lughnasadh approached weeks ago. But it's going up to 27 by late afternoon, all of which makes a case of what to do for this last Friday in August. Which is actually kind of simple here, need to go cross-town to play Go to the Head of the Class
