I feel like we're all on borrowed time right now. Lost my best friend at 69, I've got less then a decade to go before I'm that age. On the one hand, it sucks, on the other hand, my depressive side says I've done my time and had more fun than most people ever do, so not a bad run. Hopefully I get a little more than he did. We'll see.

RIP Eddie. If I'm not mistaken , his real last name was Mahoney but didn't want to be confused with the puppet that he looked like. I get it.
Just a quick check in before a long weekend. Gig tonight with the band with no name (our fourth gig BTW) , another gig tomorrow at 11AM with my regular band and I have to be there at 9. Then a sub gig at a blues jam on Sunday afternoon. Good thing there's nothing on the honey do list this weekend.
I don't know what it is about "The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway" (Genesis), but it is a complete earwig for me. I suspect that it slips past the filter of my consciousness and speaks directly to my musical DNA. Anyone else have an album that has a similar effect? Let me know that I'm not alone...

That album takes me back to a place and a time. I hear the songs but I feel and live in the moment. The memories flood in.
