Present, unaccountably. Planning home made pork enchiladas with home made tortillas this weekend, again...damn they're good. Also refried black beans, rice, ensalada.

I want to make a new strap for the Mota Monster bass, but not sure what color I want.

Was aiming for yard work, but...tut tut it looks like rain, as Pooh Bear said.

Anyone want the back seat out of a new Jeep Wrangler? I've removed it and will never have use for it.

Working on an interesting simple bass run for the B part of Whiskey Before Breakfast...basically a one octave walk down, but doubled to I-V on each beat, if that makes any sense.

...and thus my mind wanders. Is it Bloomsday yet?

Bloomsday is eight months distant. Are we in Dublin yet?

With a PS4 and your new TV, you can fish inside the RV.

Reminded of a (very) old joke. Why should you always take two Southern Baptists with you when you go fishing? If you take only one Southern Baptist, he'll drink all your beer.

Challenging the mind is good for old people.

Does this explain Sudoku? Why are there still Mad Libs books in the supermarket checkout line? Kind of thought reading CR to decide on a "sensible" car is how old people mentally challenge themselves over applesauce cups.

The required challenges are on a sliding scale. The older you are, the younger your mental age. Near the end, for some, the puzzles for 4+ are best suited.

I hate it when I go out and realize that I forgot to get dressed. Although, growers are a casual lot.

For starters , yes , I'm here and everything still seems to be working. Now , about that forgetting to get dressed thing.

Back in the '90's , Seahag and I went on a few scuba diving expeditions to the British Virgin Islands with some family members that kept a 42' sailboat down there. Sailing in that area can be pretty hot and as a result of that , most folks out on the boats for any length of time don't tend to wear much if any clothing. We had been out for about four days when we decided to pull into this little bay off the West end of Tortola and have a sit down dinner. We anchored the boat and hopped into the dingy to go ashore. The restaurant was at the top of a hill and as I was following my uncle up the steps I noticed something dangling from under his T shirt. Yup , he just had on a t shirt and somehow had forgotten to put on any pants. I seriously thought about keeping my mouth shut but my conscience got the better of me so I informed him of his wardrobe malfunction. He headed back to the dock and dingyed back out to the boat. He returned with a suitable pair of shorts and we all enjoyed a good dinner and some fun conversation at his cost.

As for news on the Baithouse front , easy gig this Sunday afternoon about five minutes from my house. Nice place , good food and always a packed house. Should be fun. A gig for next Saturday got cancelled and I couldn't be happier. Second floor loft at a bar up about 25 steps. Won't mind missing this one at all.

Some family stuff going on out in Iowa and Seahag headed out there Wednesday morning. Due back today or tomorrow. She took the car this time. Good thing too cause they are calling for some bad weather between here and there this week.

That's all the news worth reporting. Sharky , out.

Where in Iowa? We're right about where I-80 crosses the Mississippi, in case she needs shelter from the storm.

... ... Please report in that all fingers toes appendages accounted for-- ... Carey and I are both catching the sniffles... ... What are you all up to GOF's. What say ye?

All systems nominal, sir. Sorry for your sniffles. I had that a couples weeks ago, and a nagging cough stayed on ever since.

MIL's funeral on Wednesday was very nice, a true celebration of her life. Fine reunion of family and friends.

Sunday morning church gig coming up, as usual. Always an inspiration.

That is all.

Underwear is a relatively new invention. Illustrated "how to" books were very popular in the first days of movable type, likely exceeding (or, at least equaling) demand for the Good Book.

Returned from the growers' market as clothed as when i left with a head of German garlic, [Japanese mushrooms that the software sees as a swear word] mushrooms and a brie croissant.

IME this is an almost automatic formula for success in most places I've played...assuming of course that the venue patrons didn't come expecting death metal. :)
@Al Kraft ! Good to hear from you. We're doing a couple bar gigs and a couple dinner parties. On one we'll have to crank it out and the other be background music.!
