All present and accounted for. Enjoyed fried bass chunks with saffron rice and corn bread, myself. 
Getting a new JVC stereo installed and having the oil changed in the Avalon tomorrow, and going out for lunch Sunday afternoon, but otherwise going where the flow takes me.

Fingers and toes are more or less intact. The rest of me is anyone's guess.
This weekend I am scheduled to visit a drummer I know for a barbecue at his house, with our respective spouses in tow, of course. That's Saturday. On Sunday I have a rehearsal scheduled. Otherwise, I'm just holding down the fort at a client's house for a couple of weeks. Nothing major.
Planning on a nice ride in the country. Some shopping. It’s supposed to rain on Saturday. Sun on Sunday, seems appropriate.

.Installed a 40" LED TV/Monitor in the bedroom of the new RV today so, now we have his and hers... I don't like Days of Our Lives and Hallmark Channel
. Will work on fold-down shelves for wireless keyboard, mouse and satellite receiver over the weekend. I would have had this done by local businesses but the NorCal Fires over the past few years, have them tied up for months. Our first trip is a few weeks away due to our good weather and tight reservations

The RV is real insurance, providing mobility in the event of wildfires and flooding. The Hallmark Channel is pure fantasy. Both are necessary.
The PS4 fishing SIM is a training exercise that keeps your mind sharp. Challenging the mind is good for old people.
I agree with you on both points but, mainly on the RV being real insurance. As far as Hallmark's pure fantasy and PS4 Fishing is concerned, I have my wife to challenge my mind...if you never hear from me again, you will know that my wife has access to my TB account...

Working on an interesting simple bass run for the B part of Whiskey Before Breakfast...basically a one octave walk down, but doubled to I-V on each beat, if that makes any sense.
...and thus my mind wanders. Is it Bloomsday yet?

Reporting in as requested...still way busier with work than I had hoped this year. On the other hand, there will come a day when the phone isn't ringing anymore, so I will consider myself fortunate to be in demand and well compensated for my time.
Speaking of weather in Sitka, there were some reports on global climate change this week that had to be sobering even for the most die-hard conspiracy theorists who insist it's all a big hoax perpetrated by the entire world's scientific community. How much of what kind of activity contributes to what precise level of change is probably debatable, but the need to start figuring that out pretty darn quick is not something I understand anyone wasting precious time arguing about at this point.

Friday Ran errands and finished cleaning up a car seat that was on the receiving end of partially digested party favors. Granddaughter puked after a day of birthday partying.
After dropping some stuff off at the storage unit, tomorrow I'll be working on my van a bit. Got a carpet remainder and will be trimming it to fit the back so I can haul my big iron Sunn amps and cabs without them getting dinged up. Gotta thin the heard so I'll be prepping a few of them for sale. Making sure the all fire up and sound like they should.
Sunday will be making a trip to the beach and visiting. It's not as hot as it was earlier in the week. It'll be just right. Prolly BBQ at home too!

I've been pretty busy with winterizing the house and yard this week. Today I had to pull a lot of veggies from the garden and I'll put up a cold frame tomorrow in hopes of keeping some of the rest going for a while yet. We're at about 6 weeks before nominal first frost date here, but it's snowing on Mt. Hood right now at 6000' and could drop below 3000 tomorrow night. The local forecast says 35 degrees this weekend, so I'm happy to be looking at tables full of nice produce in my living room tonight. We got all of one pear this year, but hundreds of apples off our one modest tree. And there are way more non-buggy ones than usual, somehow. I see pie in my future, lots of pie. The tree is a 4-graft deal and we got a lot out of the historically less prolific ones this year, including quite a few Golden Delicious.
No Friday night jam this week. The jam host ignored some warnings from his smart watch a few months ago and ended up in the ER with arrhythmia/fibrillation issues a few days ago. Sounds like vaping may be a contributing factor. We hung out and played a little last night and all seemed OK, but apparently it was a little too much too soon. Another occasional jammer is recovering from a recent mini-stroke and learning how to read again. It's been a rough year in my little circle here, but everyone has been staying surprisingly upbeat and I keep reminding myself that "get it while you can" was and is good advice.
I've also started work on a few new electronics projects and will tentatively be going back to NAMM in January. Hopefully I'll be doing some guitar oriented stuff this time around too, not just bass gear.
Sorry to read that your jam buddies have not been doing well. I have a friend that comes by to play guitar a bit, and he is a few years older than I am. He's always reminding me how lucky we are that we still get to do this even in our sixties. He's right. Sometimes I get discouraged, but then I'm reminded of that. It's a good thing to remember.
Gig tonight(Friday). Went OK, crowd likes us, especially that we play a variety of styles and we're not too loud. Saturday night's gig cancelled(boo, hiss): snowbirds aren't here yet.

Word. The Friday jam started as a survivors' rehab thing a decade ago and the host has made it through three different types of cancer and a horrendous motorcycle wreck. I actually got recruited a few years back as a sub for the original bass player, who finally had heart surgery a few months ago after a few years of declining vitality. All these guys can still work and play, at least so far. And they're still improving as musicians for the most part. Can't say that for way too many other comrades, unfortunately.
Yeah. Last time I checked, none of my musician friends was getting any younger. Or any other friends either.
Our group's members are all in their 60s except for one old curmudgeon[me] in his 70s.
That last part is one of the things I love about being a GOF.
Too many of the younger guys I play with are stagnating as players. A lot of people get snowed under by life in their late thirties and forties.
It’s good to reach an age where you achieve a little clarity about your priorities, and what really matters to you.
