If I had known I was going to live this long, I would have taken better care of myself.

If I had known I was going to live this long, I would have taken better care of myself.
I may offer the odd answer for that thought question, but for me the answer is a resounding no. I am fine as I am now, and my first year engineering school wasn't a time I'd like to relive in any aspect. If you could strike a deal with the Powers That Be; would you trade a day spent inside your 19 year old body for a day shaved off the end of your life?
Just how weird is that thought?
Not having any idea when that "one day" might happen, and considering that year 19 was spent at "A" school in the Navy-in Norfolk("Dogs and sailors keep off the grass")-No.^^^on that very subject...
An essay...A question...
My ears ring.
My shoulder won’t let me hit the cutoff man anymore.
....prostate cancer and ALL the $#!+ that goes with it...
...but mostly, it’s my feet...I’ve got a party in the front, peripheral neuropathy, And a party in the back, plantar fasciitis, that makes Every minute of every day a burning, painful trudge.
I take my meds to tamp down the burning, but the pain Never goes away.
Enough whining...
I live a wonderful life...a loving Bride of 40 years, 2 happy, healthy children, three happy, healthy grand daughters, 3 sisters whom I Love, and they Love me...more house than I’d ever envisioned, the coolest truck in the county, 9 (count ‘em, Nine!!) beautiful bass guitars...a record collection that Will Not Quit...100-or-so percussion instruments from all around the world...and a good cup of coffee in front of me right now.
We’ve lived a frugal (in the best sense of that word) life, and so we have money enough to travel and have Fun along the way...money earned through honest work that I look back upon with pride...
I am 64.
...so here’s the question I ask myself sometimes...not on a ‘bad foot day’...that wouldn’t be fair...

If I'd have taken the straight and narrow path and taken better care of myself, I would have died of boredom....If I had known I was going to live this long, I would have taken better care of myself.

I was thinking of getting one, but "that" video (you know the one) made me no longer have any interest in anything Gibson.

Interesting. My feeling is I always want to like Gibson basses.
This line from Vox has my visual cortex engaged
Interesting.
I saw the guitar versions of these a few years ago in a local store. Different brand name, some little company I'd never heard of before. I wonder if Vox bought them out?
Errrrrm......no.........![]()
