Get off my LAWN! "Grumpy Old Farts"

Forgot to mention to Will there is a waffle maker and a pitcher of waffle batter at the hotel I used last week. My own breakfast that morning was a rather less-exciting bit of fresh fruit, a toasted English muffin (with some terribad "buttery" spread), and coffee. Took a half a spoonful of scrambled eggs for my plate, added some Frank's hot sauce from a packet, and ate two bites. The eggs were fine. I just didn't need any more.

Frank's is okay for some, I suppose. Actual Tabasco brand hot sauce will perk up any meal. It's seldom served. :sour: All that stuff like Dave's Insanity Sauce, well ... a tiny bit of Dave's Insanity brightens up an otherwise dreary chicken cordon bleu.

Some mornings I'll add a couple bits of hot peppers to a bagel.

OK, then try to imagine sitting over a bowl of boiling water with Vick's in it and a towel over your head :)!
Try snorting it.
Just read the first paragraph.

It was a parental plot, you see............

This was before ear drainage tubes ... that eardrum is scarred.

Kids today have decay in their teeth like no other time.
Which is worse - tooth decay or smartphonitis?

Speak up, sonny! All I hear is mumbo-jumbo.

A proper bagel is a dense sweet bread. Done right is hard to find. Everyone has their favorites. Toasted open face with melted mozzarella and ketchup to dip doesn’t get any better for me. Well, smeared cream cheese is a close second.

Fortunately, I live in an area where we can find real bagels. :) I prefer mine with good ol' cream cheese and lox. :)

I'm trying to find a good recipe for lox. We have a bunch of salmon that I'd love to slice up and use for lox...

I enjoy fixing what I call "sneaky hot" dishes. The sort of thing where you eat it and say I thought you said it was hot. The heat kicks in around 2/3 through the meal and becomes OMG this is hot. Some Thai peppers will do that. Chili de Arbol will too.
