Hope youse ALL have a ball :)

Turn up the heat on that dawdling digit: ," tell it, "We have ways of making you work". … You may have to tell it a few more times :)

Friend told a blueberry bush that hadn't given blueberries in four years, blueberries this summer or you're tinder. She got a great harvest.

Lower than whale [pewp] is the expression I remember most clearly from Carl, a music theory teacher. He wasn't talking about how to use an HPF? Wonder where the theory part went? Diatonic noodling all day sung to the tune of Polly Wolly Doodle :woot:

Quit yer complainin’! Are we not Canadian? :)

My three best mates in the Crescent were out with a Snow Blower and shovels clearing driveways, including mine. They won’t let me lift a finger ‘cos of my stroke history.

Dorothy has contracted Eczema on her right ankle and it’s causing swelling on her face. The poor love looked as though someone had hit her in the right eye. She is not a happy camper. She was prescribed an Antibiotic which, naturally, she turned out to be allergic to. She is covered in little red lumps that bleed if you even look at them! I have been applying prescription creams like Cortisone to these and we are slowly making headway. We are hoping that on Tuesday we can meet friends at our favourite restaurant The Keg. Usually we visit twice a week but we haven’t for nearly a month now. :(
Yikes....I am so sorry she is suffering with this....i really feel for her and wish relief for her soon
Best wishes to you both

Chaos in the house at o'dark o'clock as Odin wakes me to go out. Cat wants fed, cat wants out, Odin wants to play, I want to go back to bed. Happily the cat comes in and it's off to the Land of Nod again.

Sorry to hear about your lovely wifes problems with eczema. Seahag was plagued with this problem for most of her life. She tries creams , salves and various meds with little or no results. A few years after we met , it reared its ugly head in spades. The back of her neck , armpits , under her boobs , and the top of both feet were becoming covered with the rash. Around 1990 , we both got certified for SCUBA diving. I have an aunt that is an instructor and also part owner of a 42' sailboat that they kept on a Carribean island. She invited us down to finish our checkout dives and go with them for a week of diving on their boat. This saved us a ton of money both for the diving and not having to pay for divemasters and a boat rental. We got our certifications and enjoyed a week of diving in the BVI's. A week of salt water worked wonders on her eczema. By the time the week was over , it had all but disappeared. Over the years , it has popped back up from time to time. She tried epsom salts and sea salt baths to no avail. However , each time , a trip to the ocean (or Gulf Of Mexico as my folks were living near it in Florida) cleared it up nicely. We have recommended this solution to a few friends with varying results. It worked for some with good results. Not so much for others. No guarantees , but a trip to warmer climes and a daily dose of sea water might be a solution.
We've been hitting Ocean City Md. each year in June for several years now. The water is still pretty cold at this time of year (around 70 degrees) but bearable. She comes home rash free each time. Hope this might help , and even if it doesn't , a week in the sun and sand is always very therapeutic.

Kids just being kids. Another day full of wonder. Is Cat the name of your feline? Whenever I get called by my proper name, David, it usually means I’m in trouble.

The cat's proper name is Thor. Not that he ever paid attention to his name. The cat knows who he is, and he has a name he calls himself that he will never tell me. Thor is 16 now. It looked to me like the summer of 19 was his last. Now not so certain. Thor is senile. He will stop eating and ask me for something to eat. He will ask to go out and forget what he wanted. He's still a killer, though.

Names are pretty important to humans, and for sure all three names, in order, with the right emphasis, means gone well beyond the point of trouble
