I'm a line needer too and for exactly the same reasons.....Playing a fretless is a revelation at times. I love mine with a passion. I ordered mine with fret lines too. A six string bass with a blank Ebony finger board scared the crap out of me. The fret lines meant I could play the thing with confidence right from the beginning.
