The man never took a bad picture.

My body has been a Wonderland...of disfunction...over the last 10 or 12 daze.

The nerve damage (peripheral neuropathy) focused on the balls of my feet and numbing my toes completely, goes back to 2003. It's painful...a Good day is a 3 or 4 out of 10; this past week has been a 7 or 8...but I rarely limp as a result of it.

The last 6 months or so has seen the rise of Plantar Facetious, focused mainly on my left heel. I've been wearing a 'boot' during waking hours for the last week. That seems to stabilize it, and offers the extra padding one would expect.
I'm trying to stay off it, but there's just so much reading and movie watching a guy can do, and still consider it 'having a day'!

Yesterday was a long day that started early...about 6a...and ended at about 2p, when I FELL into bed...and slept for 20 hours, uninterrupted!!
I'm sure I've never done Anything like this before!!

I am Dazed and Confused...working on a cuppa at 11a!!!

...hard to 'have a day' when it starts That late!

I vaguely remember Something about a groundhog...and I slept right through the Supah Bowl...trying to avoid any mention of The Big Game...maybe I'll look for it after making dinner...or will it be lunch?!

I am thoroughly discombobulated.

...gonna try and have a day...
Have all the day that you can...:)

Don't worry.
It will be.

:roflmao:
That could have been me tonight. Misjudged the number of steps at a client's house and came crashing down with a searing pain through my right foot. Immediately thought that it had to be broken, but I was able to get up, bear weight, and am able to walk and drive. However, it hurts like the dickens and there's a lot of swelling in the area where the pain is, along with a big bruise. I'm thinking probably a hairline fracture; it is not at the joint so not likely to be a sprain.

I have osteoporosis which I am in serious denial about, so a broken foot is not unlikely. However, I'll have to figure out what to do about it because I have client visits all week. Luckily my husband is retired so he can help me out with that, and/or The Chef can probably help as well if he's not doing other stuff. So it could be a lot worse, but it sucks getting old.

I did something similar coming off a stage. The problem was a ligament in the foot. It took over two years to heal and that was in my thirty's.

Blood flow to my right foot is scheduled for pre-surgical testing on Thursday. That's what I learned from the packet in Monday's mail. And see the month is filled with doctors leading up to S-day on the 26th. Appears it is outpatient surgery. But difficult to bear weight on my right foot at all, so ...

What we have today is the first day of spring

and not infrequently observed that one needs to be Irish to celebrate spring in February. :roflmao: It's Imbolc - the cross-quarter that marks the start of spring with the spring equinox being the exact middle of spring. The six weeks to the next cross-quarter, Beltane, that marks the beginning of summer. Generally people celebrate Imbolc on February 1 the same way many observe Samhain on October 31. The actual solar alignment usually happens a few days after, like now.

Look hard enough and you can see Friday from here
