I have osteoporosis which I am in serious denial about, so a broken foot is not unlikely. However, I'll have to figure out what to do about it because I have client visits all week. Luckily my husband is retired so he can help me out with that, and/or The Chef can probably help as well if he's not doing other stuff. So it could be a lot worse, but it sucks getting old.

I'm in my sixties but still think I'm 30. A couple weeks ago I had a huge box of junk mail that Carey hadn't processed. I got mad one afternoon and just went through and hand tore every piece of junk mail. There must have been hundreds of envelopes. The next day I could barely move my hands, my wrists were so sore. Today, three weeks later, my wrists are still sore. Not as bad, but enough to remind me never to tear by hand again, as Carey said, use the shredder!!! LOL.

But I feel your pain brother. It seems we get more fragile as we get older. We take Glucosamine Chondroitin, massive amounts of vitamin C and Omega 3 krill oil-- this stuff really softens the effects of aging-- but that nemesis is just lurking in the shadows....

What a beautiful pic and scene. Old mixed with new. This could have been a hundred years ago except for the 21st century flat screen on the wall. Yet decades of tradition on the wall reminding everyone who they are and where they came from. I've always wanted to go through the UK and frequent the pubs especially the seaports where they serve fish and chips wrapped in newspapers. Then Carey wants to see the Queen's castle!

Monday's mail was pretty good for me. Actually, very, very good. Besides the surgery packet (good / not good / doesn't matter though), a letter I've been looking for since November arrived. Going to the lemonade stand to celebrate! And a hair appointment this morning. It's all good.

I know this place hm

I received my new cheapo bass from Music123 today. It was only 329USD and they shipped UPS 2nd day air. Found out I bought the last tobacco burst lefty! I have the black version already and am really loving these new SBMM basses that Ernie Ball just released. I felt it was very fitting that I string them up with Ernie Ball Extra slinky's!

Here's a stock picture from Music123. I'll post the pic from my office where I have it for now.

Wool keeps you warm even when wet. Lesson learned in early school days. Nothing like a dunk in a stream of freshly melted snow to get your attention for the rest of the day. For the record, I absolutely hate dunks in icy water. (And recalling a very nice pair of suede boots that paid a price.)

Yep, I need to learn to take better care of myself. Woke up this morning (not a blues song) and remembered that I also took a nasty fall, since almost every part of my body is in pain right now. The foot isn't the least of these pains, but is one of many. Then, to add insult to injury, I lost at Scrabble last night because my letter rack looked like this for most of the time: iiiiuooe . I'm not bad at Scrabble and I almost always win but yesterday was not my day in so many ways.

Going to call the Kaiser behemoth to see what they can do about this foot thingy. Also got clients to visit all day which cannot be cancelled. I think I may not make it another year before retiring.
