I used to do part time delivery for a florist. They love Valentines Day. They'd get so many orders that the 'in-house' order slip just read HVD.

What I can't figure out is why folks keep referring to Valentines Day as a holiday.

got my birdsong SS bass yesterday. I cant believe how nice it sounds for a hobbit sized bass.
That was fast. Nice looking wood. Is it an oil finish?
And purdy too! Birdsongs and Mucks are both local to Austin and they both have deservedly excellent reputations... in a tough town!
We had EL-Nikkors, Schneiders, Rodenstocks (even a 40mm WA lens), Wollensaks, and a couple of other ancient lenses I can't recall, at the moment.
Here are a few of them, along with other accesories for the wall-mounted Omega D2 enlarger and Ilford Multigrade 500 head. Note the use of Beseler 4x5 negative carriers (open and glass carriers) in the Omega.
In my case, I do feel that half the result came from my use of view cameras. There is a real feel of involvement when using a view camera vs. just P-n-S with smaller, "non-adjustable" formats, although, I had done plenty of that, too (but, unless necessary, I always use a tripod, at least). I did my best to not waste film, but in the darkroom, it was just fine to fill up the trash container with prints on the way to making THE ONE!
Very nice. Everytime I see photos of them I want to open my (empty) wallet for one.
Is the fingerboard radius really as flat as it looks in your photo? And, did you ask for the two strap buttons on the upper horn?

Yeah, it stems from St. Valentine's day, which was a Holy Day according to those who care about such things, but modern times have turned it into hearts and chocolates and men hoping to get lucky.

I remember using Leitz optics on microscopes. The objectives were very expensive for such a tiny things. 35mm cameras were used to capture images, as were polaroids. The process went digital very early with CCD cameras attached to the microscopes. There were time lapse video recorders and frame grabbers.

The only thing I currrently own Leitz-wise (that I recall) is my Leica 8x50 Trinovid-BA binoculars.

answer to questions, yes it is oil finish and I had just coated it in warrior oil. beautiful finis . redwood, walnut and maple. it came with 2 strap buttons on the horn, previous owner added 1 for a more fendery feel? the pics do make neck look flat, but it has very nice curves. now, I think I will go spend a little quality time with my new birdy

Mine was frustrating! Was trying to get some prints from a Flash Drive. They couldn't be opened 'cos they came from a Mac.
It was suggested that I put the files on to my phone. I discovered the battery is dead and will not charge. Now I have to go to the store to get the SIM card transferred to an iPhone 5 my brother gave me.
<sigh> nothing is ever easy!
