I have fond memories of a Knights of Columbus hall in the early 1960’s. It was an old building even back then. The huge creaky stage was like an old theatre with multiple curtains and ropes, it had back stage passages, and trap doors.
The first time I was there, I was a actor in a play. The stage projected voices, there were no mics, you had to speak up loud and clear. That’s where some of the voice drama that bad actors have came from. There was an old funky piano against a wall in the audience. The passages behind the curtains took you into a massive white tiled kitchen with wood stoves.
Funny how you recall things from so many years ago.
