I’ve seen bird populations in the woods where they have territories. They stay in their space, interlopers are not tolerated which can result in fights. Do you have to contend with aggressive behaviour or are the parrots separated enough to avoid those sort of actions?

I just had a "Head Gonk" last week. Been in Lost Wages helping my daughters Mother in Law move and daughter mentioned "My dad messes with Basses". And Iveas asked if I would like to see the Mother in Law's late husbands bass and being polite I said yes. Out she comes with a 1979 Mahogany body, Mahogany neck and ebony fretboard Precision. My jaw hit the table. I have only heard of these things as they were only made in 1977, 78, 79, and early 80. Basically a e experiment that didn't fly due to cost. She asked if I would like to plug it in and pulled a '79 Bassman out of the closet. I just stood there with a stupid look on my face and said. Um um um Thank you. Then proceeded to wait the 30 minutes for all the tubes to warm up. What a sound! Dam thing weighed darn near 15lbs. It was a honor to play this instrument. So I now have a mission from the Gods to find a Mahogany neck, Ebony Fretboard, SS medium Jumbo Frets, that doesn't cost the price of a new Ultra. I am not a proponent of tone woods but this thing could change my mind. As my my brother said "Doesn't Exist". But it sure will be fun looking.

It's like anything else...you learn who to trust, who to watch, and who to keep separated permanently. Of our 21 current macaws, 11 are never caged, 5 are out when supervised, and 5 are always caged. A few will attack people as well as other birds. We get a few eggs, but none fertile...we dont provide nest boxes.

One thing that Mark King that really disappointed me was switching away from his Wal bass. That bass had the most massive tone. I have no idea how he got such a beautiful tone from a bass but to me it is one memorable bass line I'll always love and remember.



To me, this song epitomizes the excitement and energy of the 80's. It felt like we were on top of the world as a touring band. What sweet memories. This wasn't a hard song to play-- if you didn't sing it too! LOL

Do the parrots ever have the opportunity to interact with wild birds in the yard on the other side of the screens? I wonder how they would react to other types of birds and their songs. I saw a spectacular demo on a Samsung TV in Walmart. If featured birds in their habitat with a lot of vocalizing. I wondered how a bird at home would react to seeing something like that. My dog used to love watching animals on TV.
